My wife and I know the owner and we knew that this restaurant has a great reputation, so we decided to try it out. We had 7 o'clock reservations, and we arrived promptly. We were immediately seated and we were given menus and a wine list. For starters, we were provided with crackers, pâté, salmon mousse and whipped butter. We were also given hard rolls. Fantastic! A quiet personal setting, 4 course meal, everything was delicious. The Blue Heron served 5 of us excellently and the whole group was very happy with the experience. Recommend.

Best restaurant in the Southeastern US. My favorite place by far. The shrimp and crab meat entree is phenomenal and the scallops are to die for. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the owner is gracious and welcoming. The chef is amazing.
