Having visited several times with both small and larger groups, our most recent dinner was a late Friday reservation for seven. A beautiful Naples evening allowed for outdoor seating, which added to the atmosphere. The overall vibe at Mercato is lively and engaging, and Bar Tulia fits comfortably within that scene. Service was a highlight. Our server was attentive, personable, and helpful in guiding the table through menu selections. The food remains the restaurant’s strongest asset. My meal—a meatless pasta dish accompanied by a Caesar salad—was well executed, with thoughtful presentation and solid flavors throughout. Others at the table echoed similar satisfaction with their selections. There were, however, a few logistical drawbacks. Our outdoor table, positioned close to the pedestrian walkway, felt quite cramped for a party of seven. The table itself was small for the group size, and as someone on the taller side, the seating arrangement proved somewhat uncomfortable over the course of the meal. The beverage program offers a standard selection of wines and cocktails—reliable and perfectly suitable for the setting, though not particularly distinctive. Overall, Bar Tulia remains a dependable stop for dinner while enjoying an evening at Mercato. With consistently good food, attentive service, and an energetic setting, it continues to earn its place among the area’s reliable dining options—particularly if you secure a table with a bit more space.“

A recent Valentine’s Day return visit — this time with friends — reaffirmed many of the restaurant’s strengths while revealing a few operational shortcomings on one of the busiest nights of the year. Our first experience a year prior, seated outdoors, delivered an especially memorable evening marked by relaxed ambiance and attentive service. The latest visit, however, placed our party in a high-traffic area adjacent to the main restaurant flow. While the noise level remained manageable, the constant movement created a subtle distraction that diminished the otherwise convivial atmosphere. Service stood out as a highlight. Our server was knowledgeable, personable, and confident in his recommendations. His guidance led to an excellent wine pairing that complemented the evening beautifully and elevated the overall dining experience. The indoor ambiance offers warm rustic touches consistent with the trattoria concept, though it lacks the distinctive character and intimacy that make the outdoor seating particularly appealing. At the table, appetizers and desserts were uniformly excellent, showcasing the kitchen’s finesse and attention to balance and flavor. Entrées were widely praised among our group, and both my wife’s pasta and mine delivered exceptional flavor and execution. However, they arrived only warm rather than hot — a notable misstep for pasta service and one that slightly tempered an otherwise strong culinary showing. Taken together with our previous visit, Osteria Tulia remains a very good choice for Italian dining in Naples. While minor service flow and plating temperature issues surfaced on a peak evening, the quality of the cuisine, capable service, and overall experience continue to justify a strong recommendation.“

“As a first time customer, I was a little apprehensive in ordering a take out pizza online from Palumbo's. On arriving there, it was like a beehive of activity. They were CRAZY BUSY. People filled the tables eating delicious looking food and some waiting for their takeout orders. The salads looked really fresh and the pizza looked and smelled heavenly! My pizza was not ready when I arrived so I sat at the bar to watch the goings on. There were professional pizza makers churning out amazing looking pizzas with fresh toppings. They looked good enough to eat uncooked! I spoke with the owner who was hustling around making sure everyone was taken care of and things were running smoothly. “Great slices, the garlic knots are amazing, and I could eat the bombolini all day long. The service was friendly and fast. There are so many different slices to try, you could easily go back for weeks and have something new each day. Parking in the garage is probably the easiest bet unless you enjoy hunting for spaces as a past time.“

A truffle pizza arrived fragrant and indulgent without tipping into excess, while a classic Margherita-style pie proved that simplicity, when done properly, is the ultimate flex: restrained, balanced, and utterly stellar. Service elevated the evening from memorable to exceptional. Sarah was nothing short of marvelous—warm, intuitive, and effortlessly polished—supported by a team that made us feel less like diners and more like returning friends. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted as though we belonged there, which, frankly, we now do. “Love the place! Modern High-Tech Screens (and they are everywhere) in a warm classic sports bar/pub setting in gorgeous Naples. Service was great and food was excellent. Good Nachos, Good Ribs, Excellent Tuna Melt & Wings! And, the Baked Beans that came with the Ribs are amazing... Wing Sauce was the best I've ever tasted! Throughly enjoyed watching the game & dining at Foxboro and so happy to be able to support a local business instead of a corporate store. I highly recommend without reservation!
