Our server was personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. The menu provides a wide range of enticing options, reflecting the breadth of Mediterranean culinary traditions. I chose the Greek beef stew, a dish I have enjoyed in many variations over the years. Mediterrano’s version was particularly impressive—deeply flavorful, comforting, and layered with rich Mediterranean character that brought the dish to life with every bite. Given the intimate dining quarters, it was easy to observe the dishes being served around us, and the reactions from nearby tables spoke volumes. Entrées across the room looked equally appealing, and judging by the enthusiasm of fellow diners, they were just as satisfying. Mediterrano may be small in footprint, but it delivers a big culinary experience. “If you're in Naples, HIGHLY recommend this place! I dont eat seafood. We visited relatives Wednesday to Sunday and ate at Island Gypsy three times! Never had onion rings before but my husband has and I tried these and we said these are the best and the sauce they pair with them - amazing! Calypso chicken salad has pears.. even the chicken is great. I had it all three visits and great every time. carrot cake is incredible! Pineapple Upside Down Cake isn't big enough :-). served warm, OMG it's amazing too. My husband had the fish and said it was very good. My sister had the chicken quesadillas and my BIL had the fish then muscles another time. Valet parking staff went above and beyond (BIL recently had major back surgery). Staff got us in quick, took our order and food was out in a timely manner. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Love the atmosphere right on the water. Not sure I've been to a restaurant like that that clearly runs like a well-oiled machine. Kudos!“

“Great lunch at Kareem’s today. Our waitress (Bosay (?)), was beautiful, pleasant and knowledgeable. The garlic sauce is amazing as was the bread and all the entrees. We shared 3 entrees and hummus between 4 adults and had plenty to bring home for later. Definitely will be back.“

“This is our favorite “special occasion” restaurant. The food is easily some of the best I’ve ever had, the problem is, it’s so good that it makes it hard to try other dishes on the menu. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with the most flavorful, perfectly cooked comfort food. And always save room for the jewel cake.“

“My cousins and I had dinner at the Lavender Cafe and Bistro on 12/30/25. The food was just amazing! We started off with the roasted strawberry/feta appetizer. It was so flavorful and unique! Our server suggested it. She, by the way, was the best server I have ever met. Her name is Addison. She knows the menu perfectly and helped guide us to make selections that we would enjoy. She was a delight, with such a joyous personality. She was present but never hovered. Obviously, someone trained her very well. I would love to see her teach other servers how to do this job well. I used to work as a server, too, and I know that it’s not easy. But Addison made it look like fun, effortless. My cousins and I all orders dishes based on her recommendations and each one was delicious, of course. I had the salmon, others had the lamb shank, beef short ribs and beef kabobs. I hope you try this little restaurant and enjoy your experience as much as we did.“

“I love the place, but the Sarasota Location needs faster bartenders. In addition, they need a place for guest waiting for a table to order a drink at the bar. We waited 45 minutes for a table, got to the table and waited 30 to 40 minutes for our mixed drink. We received our food in about 20 minutes, which was great. Jonathan the server was very apologetic. I went 2 weeks ago and Mary Kate my bartender/server was horribly slow. I had one drink and wings and took about an hour on a Sunday about 1pm. She had no sense of urgency and was not attentive at all. I love the place, but can't continue to go if this slow service is the norm from the bar. At the Tampa location the service was great and they had not one table available. Sarasota needs to step it up!“

“The Local Naples is truly a standout dining experience in the heart of Naples. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the pizza was especially impressive, and the Carbonara was absolutely exceptional. The Pork Ragu was another highlight—easily a 10/10 and something I would order again without hesitation.

What makes this place even better is the atmosphere and the people behind it. Truman was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely great at what he does. A special shoutout to him for making the experience even more enjoyable. The owner is also fantastic and clearly takes pride in creating a restaurant that feels welcoming to everyone.

I also appreciate that there are vegan options available, making it a great choice for groups with different preferences. Whether you're looking for incredible Italian food, a great atmosphere, or friendly service, The Local Naples is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

“This place is absolutely wonderful. It’s a gem. I stopped in with a Doberman I recently rescued and was welcomed to sit on the patio. The staff were exceptionally nice and the food was exceptionally good. I’m hungry again thinking about the next visit. They can cook! Staff even brought ice water in a dog bowl without me thinking to ask, then brought a dog dish for the chicken breast I ordered for the pup. In a day where so many businesses forget about quality and building bridges, Alda’s is a reminder of how a place should be run and then some. Thank you!“

Anyway, back to the food. I am picky with my tacos and I tell you the carne asada steak taco does not miss. While it is one big one (I personally prefer two smaller ones) it is very good and very filling. Stuffed with meat and all the good stuff, the meat is so flavorful I didn’t even use the pictured salsa and I AM A SALSA GIRL! That’s how good it was! Also my cucumber margarita was very refreshing, not too sweet and didn’t use sour mix 🥳 I hate to say this but the cucumber margarita is better than their regular margarita for some reason. So do with that information as you will. I definitely will be back, Mike the bartender is very personable and to the point and funny.

Oh and it is like a Tex-Mex bar and they do play country music which is funny and they did have a live band around 6 playing on this day if you’re a live music lover like myself (and it wasn’t too loud) 😊 and the reason I’m giving it a 4 and not 5 is because the high top tables surrounding the bar are very close to the bar chairs and you almost have to squeeze through. That’s it. But anyways, I will be back 😁“

“I’ve been coming here for years now, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is always fun, and it’s one of those places I know I can come back to time and time again without being disappointed.

I almost always end up getting some type of fish sandwich, and this time I went with the blackened grouper sandwich. It was absolutely delicious — the grouper was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and the blackened seasoning really made it stand out. I also always get the coconut shrimp, and they never disappoint. They’re seriously amazing and have become one of my go-to orders whenever I’m here.

The vibe at this place is unreal too. It has that laid-back, local feel that makes you want to hang out for a while, whether you’re stopping in for lunch, grabbing dinner, or just having a few drinks. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy some good food, and take in the atmosphere.

After coming here for years and having consistently great experiences, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by for lunch or dinner — especially if you’re a fan of fresh seafood and a great local atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Lake Park Diner at Founder's Square is not your average diner as one might expect. As you enter the Diner it features a Main Menu displayed on the wall with all the choices. There are many options available, including appetizers, salads, burgers, paninis, children's selections and more. You place your order, receive a number, and then find a table or booth where your food will be delivered to you. We started off with deviled eggs, followed by a California panini and a burger accompanied by sweet potato fries. All the food was delicious, and the shakes look delicious.“
