“Huge shoutout to the KIND and HONEST TEAM at Doc Fords in Sanibel! 🙌 We’ve been going there for many years and their food is always delicious-one of our favorite spots for a reason. We had dinner there Sunday and a couple of days later I realized my wallet was missing. I called in hoping for the best, and to my surprise (and relief!) they had it safe and sound- with EVERYTHING still inside! So very grateful for people who do the right thing. “We had a reservation last night on arrival they said they had to cancel because the computer was down and could not take credit cards. We said we had cash, they then said it could be a long wait before we would be served as kitchen also relied on the computer. We took our chances went in and waited, eventually had a great meal ! Perseverance is omnipotent , from a mixed race party.“

“COCONUTS IS BACK!!! They rebuilt alongside the Thistle Lodge restaurant. You can access it via the Casa Ybel resort pool deck or thru the Thistle main entrance. Same great blended drinks and ocean front beach vibes. Full lunch menu too. We are so happy they are back open!“

“Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.“

“I felt like I was back home. I’m from Pittsburgh and the owners are from there too. I met John and he and his staff made us feel welcomed. The atmosphere is nice, as well as decked out in Steeler paraphernalia. So if you’re a Steelers fan, you will love it. My wife got a BA fish sandwich. It was HUGE, and delicious. We also got a 16” pizza pie, the great white shark. It was delicious. Prices are great, service is terrific and food is hot and fresh. What else can you ask for. We will be back.“

“Wow! Had never been until last night, although we frequently visit Sanibel. Can’t say enough about the quality of the food. My new all time favorite. A salad with tomatoes, watermelon, mozzarella, roasted pumpkin seed and a great dressing. Smoked tenderloin was a unique and fantastic dish.“
