“On Sept 11th my husband & I enjoyed a delightful and most delicious meal. It was our anniversary and the staff made it even more special. The only downside is when we paid the bill we were not told that the tip would be POS entered separately from our account. My husband checked our account and he thought the tip had not been given. So he made a trip to Carmelo's to ask about why and to correct. He was told the tip was done separately - think this should be told to their guests. Thank you for a lovely evening and amazing food.“

“We called with a party of 10 and got a recording stating that reservations were not taken. We arrived and were told that there were no tables available and that we should have made reservations. We explained that we tried to and showed the Hostess the Website and number we called. We asked to speak with the Manager to make him aware of the website. Travis introduced himself and seated us temporarily outside( it was not the best of Florida weather this night) and had staff circle heaters around our table and brought us complimentary appetizers until they could accommodate all of us. Travis gave us his personal cell # and in our opinion went above and beyond to make this a Special Evening for all of us. This is not our first time here, but it was with such a large group. Justina was our Server and is Personality Plus The food is always excellent“

“Went back to Brooklyn Joe's today. Had the sausage with onions and peppers. It did have red sauce and white American cheese on it. I'm sure you could have provolone or something different if you choose to , but the sandwich was very good. The sausage had a good fresh flavor with a nice spice to it. Plus the pizza by the slice is good. I noticed that older people were seated eating plus young kids coming in to eat. Also workers coming in for lunch. The food is good and the place has a good character about it. The employees have a good personality and all seem to be welcome. Thanks“

“Went to Burg’r Bar about 5 weeks ago before having shoulder surgery. We loved it. Best burger and fries I’ve had in Florida. We sat outside and our server was great!!! Why do people write about how great it was and then give it 4 stars instead of 5??? I’m in Punta Gorda today (3/18/22) and as soon as I get done with my final post op appointment, we’re headed to the Burg’r Bar again!!! YUM!!!“

“One of the best Japanese restaurant in SW Florida, the Japanese owner is also a chef but watch out when it is busy he gets moody. You need to prepare at least one hour waiting so bring book, ipad or games. I visited this restaurant again under new owner, the food are fine but the price little bit high.“

“Have frequented Piccolos for as long as it has been in existence. The food is outstanding and is ad consistent as my late Italian grandmother's. The veal parmigiano is the best of any I have ever had.Parking: Piccolo is a tiny facility. The parking lot is also very small. There is always adequate parking because the number of diners is limited. The biggest challenge is the restaurant is on the major Route 17 and is easy to miss by driving by before you see it.“

“Great food at reasonable prices. I always get takeout. The restaurant really isn't a place I'd want to sit and eat a meal, and I wouldn't recommend eating there. However, the food is still piping hot when I pick it up and get home, and quite tasty.“

“This was my first time here. And it was really good. I ended up getting the chicken salad plate. The cole slaw was amazing and i loved how i got a variety of veges to mix and match with my dollop of either cloe slaw chicken salad or potatoe salad. It was alot of food for the price.“

“Great food. The only thing I suggest is that you take a few of the low top tables from the outside patio and bring them inside. It's very hot out now this summer and us locals in wheelchairs would like to roll up to a table and enjoy your place. It's too hot to sit out on the patio this time of year.“

“Food is always very good, I know inflation is a factor but paying more and getting less doesn’t seem like the way to go. Gonna try a new place next time even those this one have been my go to for a while. Disappointed in the price verse portion - we spent $42 two people eating not a drop left over ( never the case)“

“I remember going to la Esperanza when they had their original restaurant in downtown Punta Gorda. Juan’s parents owned it and now Juan has a place of his own. Glad to be able to support him and his restaurant!!“

“I am a Maryland native and our entire family are crab fiends, so the bar is pretty high.This place looks the part. Large property with different areas to eat and a deck with some great entertainment. BEER AND WINE ONLY. And not much on the wine side. Prices for beer are reasonable.We went for crabs of course and they have two sizes - medium and large. They were out of large which was so unfortunate. The medium crabs were reasonably priced but were on the small to medium side. Disappointed in the size but they were perfectly steamed - yes steamed which was a must for us to try it out. We had two dozen for three people which did not fill us up but also tried the shrimp and oysters. The crabs tasted good but not real yellow bold mustard like a Maryland crab.We drove an hour to get here and all in all we would go again. The place has a great atmosphere and the staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Just realize this is a Florida Blue crab experience and not a Maryland Blue crab experience.“

“Live local to the area have been eating here multiple times over the last few years food is always good service is always great they have a large bar and their drink prices are reasonable to be on the water their Seafood is always outstanding and they have sushi which is nice there's also free parking at the boat ramp which is right next door so it makes a boat ride fun and get you in the air conditioning for a while“
