Upon arrival we were greeted graciously and seated immediately, though prospective diners should note that this is a very popular spot—reservations are strongly recommended. Our table offered an excellent vantage point: comfortable for conversation while still allowing us to take in the lively yet relaxed atmosphere of the surrounding district. Service was outstanding. Our server was personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful in guiding us through the menu. While Mediterrano offers only beer and wine, the selections are thoughtfully curated and pair well with the restaurant’s Mediterranean focus. The true highlight, however, is the food. The menu provides a wide range of enticing options, reflecting the breadth of Mediterranean culinary traditions. I chose the Greek beef stew, a dish I have enjoyed in many variations over the years. Mediterrano’s version was particularly impressive—deeply flavorful, comforting, and layered with rich Mediterranean character that brought the dish to life with every bite. Given the intimate dining quarters, it was easy to observe the dishes being served around us, and the reactions from nearby tables spoke volumes. “This is our favorite “special occasion” restaurant. The food is easily some of the best I’ve ever had, the problem is, it’s so good that it makes it hard to try other dishes on the menu. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for an upscale dining experience with the most flavorful, perfectly cooked comfort food. And always save room for the jewel cake.“

“Truluck’s never disappoints. Kind of hard to get a seat here but I always sit at the bar or in the vicinity of the bar. They have an extensive wine list with very good well known wines. The bar glows in a retro amber that transforms you to another era. There is usually singer playing piano. At times it can too loud for my taste but most people love it. For dinner I ordered the Cesar’s salad, NY strip (med. rare), sides: asparagus and mushrooms. My steak was grilled perfectly and the asparagus was so tender. The mushrooms were okay.
The bartenders are great. They really know their wines.“

A recent Valentine’s Day return visit — this time with friends — reaffirmed many of the restaurant’s strengths while revealing a few operational shortcomings on one of the busiest nights of the year. Our first experience a year prior, seated outdoors, delivered an especially memorable evening marked by relaxed ambiance and attentive service. The latest visit, however, placed our party in a high-traffic area adjacent to the main restaurant flow. While the noise level remained manageable, the constant movement created a subtle distraction that diminished the otherwise convivial atmosphere. Service stood out as a highlight. Our server was knowledgeable, personable, and confident in his recommendations. His guidance led to an excellent wine pairing that complemented the evening beautifully and elevated the overall dining experience. The indoor ambiance offers warm rustic touches consistent with the trattoria concept, though it lacks the distinctive character and intimacy that make the outdoor seating particularly appealing. At the table, appetizers and desserts were uniformly excellent, showcasing the kitchen’s finesse and attention to balance and flavor. Entrées were widely praised among our group, and both my wife’s pasta and mine delivered exceptional flavor and execution. However, they arrived only warm rather than hot — a notable misstep for pasta service and one that slightly tempered an otherwise strong culinary showing. Taken together with our previous visit, Osteria Tulia remains a very good choice for Italian dining in Naples. There are several clearly marked menu items that are vegan as is, and others that can easily be customized. Our server was John, and we can’t emphasize enough how much we appreciated the service! John knew every ingredient that would make any dish vegan or not vegan, and he made wonderful recommendations for our fully vegan party. We ended up eating watermelon gazpacho, lentil soup, bruschetta with house-made almond ricotta, mushroom risotto, and raw vegan tiramisu, and everything was absolutely delicious. The risotto was so aesthetic and flavorful that it truly blew us away. All of the food was excellent. This restaurant is a rare gem for vegans visiting Naples.“

There was a bit of a wait but the server, host, manager (?) Andrew was hospitable, funny, cracking jokes and made sure to check on everyone in the restaurant. “I love the place, but the Sarasota Location needs faster bartenders. In addition, they need a place for guest waiting for a table to order a drink at the bar. We waited 45 minutes for a table, got to the table and waited 30 to 40 minutes for our mixed drink. We received our food in about 20 minutes, which was great. Jonathan the server was very apologetic. I went 2 weeks ago and Mary Kate my bartender/server was horribly slow. I had one drink and wings and took about an hour on a Sunday about 1pm. She had no sense of urgency and was not attentive at all. I love the place, but can't continue to go if this slow service is the norm from the bar. At the Tampa location the service was great and they had not one table available. Sarasota needs to step it up!“
