The Catch of the Pelican offers a beautiful setting with an extensive mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. While the menu may not cater to finicky eaters, the food is good but not excellent. The restaurant is accommodating for families with early dinner reservations. The brunch menu may offer unique twists on traditional dishes, like an everything bagel with a soft cooked egg, Pastrami, dilled cream cheese, onions, and fried capers. The frittata was small and lacked goat cheese, but the Whiskey caramel pecan roll was divine. The make your own Bloody Mary concept was enjoyable, although the glasses were small. The service experienced a mix-up, but the ambiance of the restaurant, both indoors and outdoors overlooking the pool, was inviting.
