Scooter's Fish House is a popular local seafood restaurant that specializes in fresh, well-prepared fried and grilled fish dishes. Long lines of diners eagerly await the delicious offerings, including the standout softshell crab and hushpuppies. Customers consistently leave satisfied and eager to return.
The menu features daily specials and a variety of sides. Visitors have praised the juicy and flavorful chicken sandwich and the tasty fish tacos, both grilled and fried. The Key Lime pie is also a customer favorite. Some diners have enjoyed the fried flounder and mullet combo, noting that the fish was perfectly prepared and delicious. Cheese grits have also been highlighted as a good and cheesy side option.
The staff is described as amazing, with one server, Stephanie, being particularly friendly. Although some customers experienced issues like overcooked fish or order mix-ups, the restaurant promptly corrected these mistakes and provided complimentary desserts, such as banana pudding, which was phenomenal. Many recommend trying the bang bang chicken and shrimp, as well as the crawfish. Overall, Scooter's Fish House is considered a hidden gem, where seafood lovers and even non-seafood eaters can find something to enjoy.
