Schnitzel, spatzle and bread was good. We got 3 German chocolate cakes to go, All 3 were dried out and burnt on the bottom. Last year it was delicious Service was slow but friendly.
Everything was delicious. We had the Jager Schnitzel, Cordon Bleu, Bierbrats, Saurkraut, Red Cabbage, German Potato Salad, Potato Pancakes, and Potato Croquettes.Service was wonderful; Em was very attentive.Great selection of beer ? and wine ? ?

Having lived in Germany, Belgium, and Holland, the food at The Schnitzel Lodge is similar to old country German food. The portions are a bit skimpy, smaller than what you would expect from a German guesthouse, but taste delicious. The German beers are wonderful, try them by the stein not a glass. Octoberfest in Niceville is okay, but I'm selfishly comparing it to Octoberfest in Bavaria, which isn't quite fair.
