Two people, one tiny room, and somehow they're running a whole theatre of flavour without the usual omakase cosplay. Start with the truffle situation: not “truffle oil nonsense”, actual depth — earthy, savoury, and placed with intent. Then the chef's mini omakase hits like a sequence of clean, confident decisions. The eel? Properly brave: rich, glossy, balanced, and the kind of bite that makes you realise you've been settling for mediocre unagi elsewhere. Sashimi here is the point. Perfect cuts, zero ragged edges, fish that tastes alive, and knife work that shows restraint instead of ego. Wagyu lands exactly where it should — decadent, but not a blunt instrument. And the handmade pieces (the ones you eat by hand, as they should be) are absurdly good: tight rice, clean seasoning, and toppings that don't bully the fish. The little mats set the vibe — intimate, focused, quietly playful — and the service is all signal, no noise. Just a two-person team slinging it all with calm precision, timing everything, watching the room, and never dropping the thread. If you want safe, boring sushi, go elsewhere. If you want skill, nerve, and genuinely great eating, Norigami is it. What I loved most is the judgement. Every “brave” choice still feels disciplined — no stunt toppings, no sloppy heat, no sweet sauces drowning things. It's umami, texture, temperature: warm rice against cool fish, crisp where you want it, soft fat where it matters. And because it's only two of them, you're not getting conveyor-belt energy. You're getting eyes-up hospitality and pacing that actually respects the food. Orlando doesn't deserve something this dialled-in. But you do. Sit down, eat with your hands, and let the cuts do the talking....”

“I love this place, however I had an experience on 5/1 that I wasn’t thrilled with and it’s very difficult to find a way to contact to give feedback so I had to resort to a FB review. My mom and I visited on 5/1. Our server spilled most of a Champagne Papi onto my lap. I totally understand mistakes happen, however, not once did anyone ask me if I needed anything. The server (I have the name but don’t want to blast all over FB) never asked me if I was Ok, she just simply said she’d be right back with another one, but it was all of the floor, my shorts, my shirt and splashed my mom across the table. I thought maybe she’d be right back with napkin or towel but she didn’t, so I went to the bathroom to try to clean up, but so surprised that no one ever followed up with me. I’m not sure if maybe she was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to tell anyone, or what happened, but I sat in wet shorts the entire time. Thankfully, the pink dye came out of everything, but still am surprised no one ever checked in. Maybe this is standard for you guys, but I wanted to share in case this is not normal.”

“Tonight was our first time eating here. I love how close by it is to where we live. We split an "Antipasto" salad and ordered a 16" "Mediterranean Chicken" pizza. The place was not busy in-house, but they were dealing with a good number of takeout orders. The pizza and salad came out quickly. The pizza was "oven hot", but eating the salad first allowed it to cool a bit. Excellent pizza... thin crust that had a nice chewy texture without being tough. They told us that the crust is "aged" for 72 hours after being mixed to develop flavor. Toppings were freshly prepared and tasty. Our pizza had a pesto base... really good. Very happy with our meal here... we'll definitely be back!!”

“Local Gem We live a 15 minute stroll from Mangoni's Italian Market, but at "feels like" temps hovering around 105°, strolling to lunch hasn't been as attractive ? Sunday, hubby wanted a relaxing lunch with sangria! So, we drove (& charged our EV in the parking garage). We had the entire patio to ourselves, as diners likely expected unbearable heat. Mangoni's pergola and great ceiling fans made patio dining the experience we wanted---even when the afternoon storm blew up from the west, we were protected from rain. We enjoyed our favorite, GF goat cheese pizza, with our sangria. Unlike most places, Mangoni's GF crust is an excellent, thin cauliflower crust. And, it’s not an upcharge. We also enjoyed meeting Georgia, the regional manager, who chatted with us about the social hour (11-6pm weekdays). She made a GF garlicky cheesy Flatbread for us to try--now we have more reason to stroll (or drive) over! Oh, and take away is a frequent option. Really, Mangoni's is a local gem.”

“This place is in a beautiful location. The food was good, but I felt for the price was a little underwhelming. My wife said her steak and lobster were perfect, mine was a little tougher. I was upset by a minor server issue. Shockingly to me they brought my son and I our food and placed it in front of us while my wife and daughter were sitting without food. I thought a place presenting this level of class would serve ladies first. Luckily the food was ready, the wait staff (not our waitress) just had to go back and get it in a second trip from the kitchen. I also felt the charcuterie board was interesting but not worth the associated price for this diner. My daughter got the King Crab Leg appetizer that was $49 - it was ONE leg. It was large... it was good... I just wish she got a cluster, not one singular leg. Especially when it lists a half pound of steamed crab legs.”
