“Today was my first experience at The Hen and the Hog, and they did not disappoint. To start, Lizzie was my server. She is courteous, attentive, and very personable. I was unsure as what to order. She recommended the brisket melt. It was really good. How good? Did you ever have a meal that was so good, it was difficult to order anything different, from that moment onwards? That good. Tomorrow I’m heading back for breakfast. I see a possible brisket Benedict in my future.“
“Located in a low key plaza in Tamarac, this is a hidden gem. We went I. A Monday night and there was a pretty good crowd. Ample parking is available. Staff are friendly and service is quick. Our server explained the menu options and demonstrated cooking and cleaning the grill. The restaurant is airy and bright. K-pop videos stream on monitors throughout the area. They also have a karaoke room and happy hour specials. Food was delicious overall, and our party really got into the grilling! Side note, we were there to celebrate a birthday and the staff graciously stored the cake we brought along g in the refrigerator while we ate. The owner sent over dumplings appetizers which were fantastic! Our birthday girl was also serenaded by staff - which was a nice surprise!“

She stays calm in her stroller and we are able to keep the stroller next to us without a problem.“
“May was a wonderful server! Very kind and attentive and made our experience very pleasant. As for the food, absolutely amazing.I got the 1/2 chicken platter and the sauce and texture of the chicken was perfect, the fries were crispy and the mac and cheese was wonderful. The fried pickles were perfect the batter was crispy and not soggy like other places. The pecan butter was a little too strong but the cornbread itself was great.Here’s the aftermath:“
“This was our first time here and just wow! Every single staff member was so sweet and generous. The cashier explained the entire menu and how to order. They cook let us taste the amazing brisket and then our whole party ordered it. The manager was generous and we gave his staff compliments and wished their was a tip jar. They brought us out sides of every available side on the menu and the peach cobbler. We had to wobble out of the restaurant. We have found our new going out spot especially since they support our American Hero’s. Thank you Mission BBQ!“
“I had a birthday party coming up and I talk with the owner of the restaurant. Her name is Honey she’s the sweetest lady I ever met. I had my catering on December 9 and she helped me through everything. The food was so good I got macaroni cheese, collard greens, yams, made mini muffin cornbread and she gave me ribs, chicken barbecue it was so good 10 out of 10 must recommend if you want any catering done for a birthday party, a baby shower, Christmas party anything I recommend you going to her and her business I love it“
“Absolutely amazing BBQ. We had the pulled pork platter and the ribs and 1/4 chicken and loved every bite. The sides were perfect, collard greens, Mac and cheese, fried okra and baked beans. A ton of great food for the money too. We will definitely be back!“
