“I love this place, however I had an experience on 5/1 that I wasn’t thrilled with and it’s very difficult to find a way to contact to give feedback so I had to resort to a FB review. My mom and I visited on 5/1. Our server spilled most of a Champagne Papi onto my lap. I totally understand mistakes happen, however, not once did anyone ask me if I needed anything. The server (I have the name but don’t want to blast all over FB) never asked me if I was Ok, she just simply said she’d be right back with another one, but it was all of the floor, my shorts, my shirt and splashed my mom across the table. I thought maybe she’d be right back with napkin or towel but she didn’t, so I went to the bathroom to try to clean up, but so surprised that no one ever followed up with me. I’m not sure if maybe she was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to tell anyone, or what happened, but I sat in wet shorts the entire time. Thankfully, the pink dye came out of everything, but still am surprised no one ever checked in. Maybe this is standard for you guys, but I wanted to share in case this is not normal.“

“La Fonda is fantastic! We moved to Orlando from Tucson and have been searching in vain for really good Mexican food here. La Fonda doesn't disappoint. Anything with salsa Verde works well for me, particularly the wet burrito. They have a decent mole sauce as well! And the owners are sweet and happy to have you there. Wish we could bring in a crowd, the food is worth coming to Ocoee for.“

Yesterday I stopped in for the carne asada tacos and they instantly took me back to California. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly the way authentic carne asada should be. The tortillas, salsa, and freshness of everything were absolutely incredible.

Then this morning I came BACK because I couldn’t stop thinking about the food and tried the chilaquiles… and OMG. Some of the best chilaquiles I’ve had in Florida. Authentic, comforting, homemade, and packed with flavor.

“Have been there a few times. The portion is extremely generous. The salsa for the chips is absolutely amazing. People may think otherwise if not a fan of cilantro. The grilled chicken chimichanga is our all time favorite followed by the Mexicano burrito. Servers are pretty friendly as well.“

“What a hidden gem! We went for late lunch on a weekday and were seated right away. The lunch specials are super affordable, and I couldn't believe how quickly our food was ready. (And yay, chips and salsa are automatically brought out at no extra charge! :D ) I was also really happy to be able to get "guacamole salad" (tomatoes and lettuce plus a scoop of guac) instead of rice and beans (which I don't love but seem to always come with Mexican dishes). Hands down one of the best taco food trucks around! The flavors were incredible—fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and tacos made with real passion. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

What truly sets them apart, though, is their generosity. While we were on duty as firefighters, they went out of their way to feed us for free, which meant more than they’ll ever know. That kind of support and appreciation for first responders speaks volumes about their character.

“I am an OG Flathead. Worked for TF in Pompano Beach during high school (2004-2006) and always make it a point to stop at a TF when I can since moving to GA. Visited FL for a funeral back in August and went looking for the one I worked at and realized it had closed down!! How!?!? Doesn't makes sense, it was right next to a surf shop and a gym, it was always busy! Recently we found this loction a couple weeks ago visiting again for a wedding... Walking in, it didn't feel like tijuana flats. It missed the nostalgia pictured employees and celebs, painted ceiling tiles, 80s hits blasting, and a hot sauce bar that didn't only include mild sauce for wimps but the heat that will clear your allergies. I was saddened to see so many fun features that made tflats so perfect fun and unique had been changed. Fun menu options... enchiladas!!! Flautas!!Powerlite... BJOLTS! where's the SAAAAAAAUCE (red sauce, that one was painful) why remove something that paired with the queso so well. I wish I still had some of my old work shirts, the apparel used to be so fun! I met the manager, Nick Nuzzo, who was a delight. Impressed he stayed with the company through all the changes, hope they know the value of employee they have with him. It was good to see they are still sticking to customer service standards and holding true to that aspect. The employees there are awesome. The food was good, but not as special as it once was. I won't be as eager to go out of my way next time unless changes are made taking it back to its original glory ✌️❤️🌮“
