As a major aficionado of Mexican food since my teens (I'm 60 now), I can tell you that Apopka is an absolute hotbed of some of the best I've ever had in my life, and that's no exaggeration. I've already had awesome offerings from the likes of El Potro, Taco Fiesta, and Taco Loco, and just today I added a new instant favorite to my list: Taco Don Pepe's. BEST burrito I've had in AGES! Honestly, I'm astounded at how great the Mexican food is EVERYWHERE you go in Apopka, and this place easily holds its own against any of the aforementioned. Hands down one of the best taco food trucks around! The flavors were incredible—fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and tacos made with real passion. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

What truly sets them apart, though, is their generosity. While we were on duty as firefighters, they went out of their way to feed us for free, which meant more than they’ll ever know. That kind of support and appreciation for first responders speaks volumes about their character.

“A true hole in the wall restaurant inside a Mexican store. Food was absolutely delicious ?. Nothing fancy or extravagant, just good old fashion Mexican comfort food. I had street tacos and they were delicious. Highly recommend this hole in the wall. Like I said Nothing fancy just good food.“

It is a "strange" atmosphere, it is not "nice", it is a mix of grocery, butcher shop, restaurant... the food is EXCELLENT, the service leaves a lot to be desired and that is what makes me think about it every time I return... Today's experience (October 30, 2024) in terms of service was TERRIBLE. But the food makes me come back despite the bad treatment“

“Very friendly staff. I asked for an empty to-go box and lid for my leftover chips and queso. The gentleman helping me top off the queso and gave us fresh chips to take home. He went above and beyond to take care of us. We will definitely be back to this location.“

“Oh my...they make fresh tortillas. I didn't care to buy any..then when we were on the road and I sampled my friends..I totally regretted my choice. I ate 3 of her 12. Flan was amazing. The fresh fruit drinks were refreshing on a hot Florida day.“
