“As part of our Hamlin Center “extravaganza,” where we were hopping around and grabbing one item at each place, we decided to stop by Maple Street Biscuit Company in Winter Garden, and it did not disappoint. We went with the Squawking Goat, and honestly, it might be one of the best biscuit sandwiches we’ve ever had.

First, the fried goat cheese was perfectly cooked. It had just the right amount of tang and creaminess, and the crisped exterior added a nice texture contrast. Combined with the piece of fried chicken, it created a satisfying bite that was savory but not overwhelming. The sweet chili pepper jelly topping added a hint of heat and sweetness that tied everything together beautifully. I appreciated that they didn’t overdo the toppings, each component could shine without being lost in sauces or extras.

Then, there’s the biscuit itself. Maple Street consistently nails it, and this visit was no exception. The biscuit was golden brown, soft, and fluffy, with a slightly crispy bottom that just fell apart in your mouth. It had the perfect balance of buttery flavor and lightness, which made each bite melt effortlessly.
