She was pretty miserable and I noticed the busers were doing pretty much all of her work. She just took our order. Busers brought menus, silverware, drinks and even did our refills. One of the other servers on the floor brought us our food. We chalked it up to she was having a bad day and even though I wanted to tip the busers, we did tip Pam! Today we got her again and from what we could tell, nothing had changed! Our opinion, if you don't enjoy working with the public, hit the road before you start causing Ellies to lose customers. We had to ask for a larger plate because there was not enough room on the very small plate the baked potato came. The food is very hot- somewhere to put the mushroom on to cool off would be nice. “Hands down, the best bagels I've had in Florida. People always joke about how New York has the best bagels. I don't know what they're joking about, because it's a scientific fact. Since moving to Florida, it's been a struggle trying to find a decent bagel. There are some bagel shops that give it a good effort, but usually you're relegated to offerings of fast food establishments (no thank you), but not anymore. New York Bagel shines like a soft, doughy beacon amongst a sea of mediocrity. The bagels are perfect, the staff is super polite and friendly, and they even offer a BECSPK, which is the holy grail of breakfast sandwiches. If you're ever in the area, you should get a bagel from here. If you aren't in the area, make the trip.“

This location was a good breakfast spot for years which unfortunately closed during the pandemic - it reopened as a hotdog place and 2 other restaurants were open for a few months before closing. She was upbeat with a good personality. I have OCD, so when they brought us our silverware and it's pulled out of the holder sitting at the hostess desk it grossed me out. I'm so glad I carry my own silverware when going out to eat. The food was good. We had onion rings and mozzarella cheese for appetizers. My dish was chicken, broccoli and a salad. My husband had blackened white fish with veggies. It was all delicious. They have a variety of options to choose from on the menu. We will be going back to try the wings. “My first visit to Brix 33 was to attend a business seminar with dinner service. We were served top sirloin (coulotte steak). I was a little disappointed. When I saw the sauce covering the steak I thought that was a restaurant trick to make the steak taste better.I don't know how the chef did it, but the steak was excellent. Tender, properly seared, and served at the correct temperature. The sauce, a demi-glace, was also excellent. Rich and full of flavor. Fingerling potatoes were served with the steak, as well as a salad made with fresh greens. Everything was great. We were all very happy with the dinner, as well as the service.Upon exiting we engaged in conversation with the manager, Karla. I told her how much we enjoyed the dinner, and expressed our appreciation. When I asked her about the steak and the demi- glace, she asked if I’d like to meet the chef. The chef (Eli) explained that the steak was a high quality Hereford steak, procured locally. The demi glace requires a tremendous amount of preparation, as do many of Eli’s creations. Veal bones are roasted for days, and then rendered to release the fabulous, rich flavor that enhanced the steak so much.I love french onion soup, and although it was not served with my dinner, it looked very appetizing, as did a few other items on the menu. So we made a reservation and went back the next day.On the followup visit we were welcomed like family. We spoke to the manager, the servers, and eventually met the owners, Dillon and Monica, who are partners with another couple in the enterprise.We ordered the Hereford filet and the sea bass. As an appetizer we had the beef tips. Bite sized chunks of filet over a mound of creamy mashed potatoes. It was covered in the delicious demi-glace, described above. We also each had the french onion soup.Since we both love french onion soup (if made correctly) we were really looking forward to this, and it was perfect. The broth, the croutons, the authentic and correct gruyere cheese melted on top. No one else does this! But Eli is strictly a traditionalist. His food is as good as it can be or he doesn’t serve it. The Hereford filet was perfectly prepared. The sea bass was fresh and also perfectly prepared. Ordered a side of mushrooms which were delicious, sautéed with butter and red wine.The restaurant business is difficult. It’s a lot of work. Its almost impossible logistically. This is a restaurant whose employees share the same goals as the owners. They are totally engaged, caring, and proud of the business. And they love the customers.When you get this level of commitment and ownership, it’s a winning combination. This establishment is a 5 star restaurant. The food and menu is a 5. The service is a 5. The management is a 5. The value is a 5.This business is located in a strip mall that may lead some to believe that it is less than an upscale, elegant, fine dining establishment. It is all of that. Today I decided to go with their fried pickles and 20 wings. The pickles were really good and come with hefty serving. The wings were the highlight for me as they were cooked perfectly. The skin had a nice crisp and the meat was nice and juicy. They allowed me to get all flaps which was nice. It was a minimal upcharge but worth it to me. So many other restaurants will not allow you to order all flats or drummetts which is crazy. So definitely a plus for me that North 30th does. They have a great selection of sauces to toss your wings in. My choice of sauces were split 10 honey bbq and 10 Asian glaze. Both sauces tasted great but I definitely favor the Asian glaze. Folks this is a all around great sports restaurant to relax with some good food, drinks and lots of sports TV. Let me not forget North 30th has both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space. It was tasty but a bit difficult to eat as the toast and prosciutto were chewy and difficult to cut with the knife, so it took a bit of work to eat. My Patty melt was the best I have had in years it was perfect and the fries hot and crispy, my wife's soup and chicken sandwich was incredible and our daughter inhaled her grilled cheese, perfectly toasted on both sides, just like the good old days.
