“My family stumbled onto Mandola’s ItalianKitchen in Odessa Florida. What a delightful restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. We were greeted at the door by the manager, Chris. He explained how the restaurant ordering and seating worked. We ordered at the counter, where the young woman patiently took our order, clarifying along the way. The wine selection for the casual environment was impressive. We were given a table number and we found a seat. Immediately someone brought warm focaccia bread and Italian oil to dip it in. Our food arrived at our table surprisingly quick. The portions were huge (luckily we were provided to-go boxes when we were ready to leave) The servers were friendly and professional. The chefs were visible as they prepared the food. Our used dishes were removed promptly as we finished one course after another. Then Chris, the manager who first greeted us, came to our table to ensure that our experience had been not just satisfactory, but excellent. Which it was! We are putting Mandola’s Odessa on our favorite restaurant list for when we return to Tampa. Thank you!“

I ordered a beef pasteles...and a slice of vanilla flan. Both absolutely delicious. I also tried a cafe con leche. I was asked how I would like it. I told her to make it however it came. It was perfect. As I waited a sweet lady who looked like abuela opened the door and smiled at me. She looked so sweet. I was told she's 88 and still baking! Again, everything I tried was great and will visit again.“

At this point I started crying because I had no idea how I was going to get home. A few minutes later Jim (bartender/manager on duty) approached me and asked me my address. He said, "I'm getting you an Uber. Nobody has done something this nice for me forever. He found out how long for the ride and offered me a drink while I waited. Thank you sooo much Jim. “What an experience! It was our 18th wedding anniversary and we decided on GrillSmith. I had been craving a great ribeye and I was very much looking forward to a great meal. We arrived with our two children and waited a moment or two at the host stand. We were greeted by a server named Kaylyn. She saw us waiting and immediately offered to help. She was very friendly and courteous and we asked for her to be our server. We were quickly seated and the experience just got better as the night went on. The bartender, Juan, brought our bottle of wine to the able and served it. He was a great pleasure to speak with. We all had steaks that were cooked perfectly. My ribeye was exactly what I had been craving! Charred on the outside and a perfect medium rare center. Kaylyn (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) was absolutely spectacular! She exceeded our needs and expectations and will be our requested server moving forward. When we asked to speak with the manager to share our experience, Allison came to the table. She too was very kind and we were all too happy to tell her how much we enjoyed everything and appreciated the hospitality.
