The Gulf is one of my favorite places. The staff is always friendly and it’s the perfect place to grab a bite and relax with family and friends or read and study solo. Yesterday was a bit chilly so Olivia and her teammate lit the fire pit for us. We were able to eat and enjoy the views while staying warm. Thanks again Olivia and staff. 🫶🔥🔥
Just got into town and was recommended this place by our hotel worker. Absolutely disappointed! $100 for 3 of us and the food was terrible! Never again! Neat atmosphere terrible food!
It’s a tourist trap high prices for subpar food. The management is very rude and shouldn’t even be allowed to work at McDonald’s. The grouper sandwich tasted like a muddy catfish could not eat had to trash it!!!
Don’t waste your time and especially your money. SMH

The Gulf is a beautiful place with lots of seating and parking, located right on the water with some of the best views in the area. The atmosphere on the patio is amazing, welcoming, relaxing, and very family friendly. The overall vibe is great.
The food is literally the best around and is consistently described as great, amazing, flavorful, delish, and yummy. Specific praised items include the smoked tuna and pita chips appetizer, the Jamaican jerk surf and turf, the Ahi tuna tacos, the Mahi tacos with real chunks of mahi, fresh peel and eat shrimp, homemade fries, and black beans and rice. The location is perfect for planning a day out, as it has a beach area, a gift shop, and slips if you want to bring a boat.
Service from the wait staff and servers is often excellent, noted as attentive, friendly, thoughtful, kind, and helpful, making visits enjoyable. However, ordering drinks from the large outdoor bar can be a significant negative. Service there can be slow with a lack of urgency and poor communication, leading to long waits for simple drink orders or refills. For non-drinkers, the place rocks, but those wanting cocktails should plan to wait.
The main complaints are not the restaurant's fault, such as children running around, but rather the bar service. Despite this, guests consistently state they will definitely be back.
