Nona Blue Modern Tavern is a popular local spot, known for its attentive service, consistent food quality, and a great patio atmosphere. The menu features a range of options, including sandwiches, tacos, and appetizers, although prices are on the higher side. Standout dishes include grilled artichokes, sausage flatbread, and the exceptional carrot cake, which is a must-try. The restaurant prides itself on its friendly and knowledgeable staff, including bartenders like Tucker and Ian, who are praised for their amazing service and ability to keep customers laughing. Many reviews highlight the outstanding food and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place for special occasions. Guests often enjoy the food, such as the French Quarter Pasta, pork chop, Polynesian ribeye steak, and drums and flats. The Ipad menu ordering system is appreciated as a novel feature. Service is generally praised, with staff being accommodating and friendly. Some customers noted that the restaurant can run out of certain desserts early in the evening and suggested that better communication about portion sizes could improve the experience. Despite these minor issues, many visitors look forward to returning because of the delicious food and welcoming environment.
