The food was great with previous management. I stopped there today, and the place was completely gone. Was such a good convenient spot, too. Sad unless they moved!
If you want to eat good Puerto Rican food, with authentic flavor, you are in the right place. The restaurant is very nice and they serve with excellence.
Rice & Beans Cocina I had the chance to dine at Rice & Beans Cocina Latina before it transformed into Tradicion Latina. The restaurant had its charm, and the name itself evoked images of flavorful Latin American cuisine. Rice & Beans Cocina Latina was once a popular Latin American restaurant that had its charm and served classic dishes like arroz con pollo, tostones, and empanadas. However, the restaurant has since undergone a transformation, leaving some customers with mixed feelings.
The staff was generally friendly and welcoming, adding a positive touch to the dining experience. The classic Latin dishes were generally well-prepared and satisfying, with the rice and beans being particularly well-received.
Unfortunately, the food sometimes lacked moisture, with the rice and meats appearing dry. The pulled pork, a staple in many Latin dishes, was also on the salty side. Additionally, the restaurant seemed to have lost its spark, with a diminished sense of vibrancy and excitement.
Despite these concerns, one customer who ordered catering for a Christmas Eve gathering was highly satisfied with the experience. The rice and gandules, pernil (pulled pork), and pastelon (Spanish lasagna) were all well-received, with the pulled pork being particularly tender and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the catering prices were considered reasonable.
