It's a lovely 95° and I was really looking forward to some refreshing shaved ice. Unfortunately, they are apparently closed right now (2:10 in the afternoon). I stood at the window for several minutes and didn't see anyone inside. Hopefully I will be able to come back sometime when they are open. ☹
If an employee, in this case Harley, expects to lock the service windows, clock out and be on her way home by 10pm then Shaka Ice’s posted hours of operation should be adjusted from “closes at 10pm” to “closes at 9:30”. If closing duties take 30 minutes then employees, yes I’m looking at you Harley, should be prepared to work that long AFTER posted closing hours. this place is amazing. I know of no other place in Florida, maybe on the mainland, where you can get that authentic Hawaiian style Shave Ice. This place is wonderful, the employees are fantastic. As somebody who lived in Hawaii 4 almost thirty years oh, I cannot recommend this place enough.

The shaved ice, a Hawaiian version of the New Orleans snowball, is a must-try, especially the Hawaiian Potter option with butterscotch syrup and condensed milk. The donuts and ice cream are also popular choices. While it may be necessary to wait during busy periods, the delicious offerings make it worthwhile.
