“Not known for their food menu so I have not had this cool bar on my list to try, but Easter was my lucky day. When my beach experience went awry I found this bar open on my way home. Such a cool small bar with awesome decor of stickers etc. The bartender Troy is from my home state of VERMONT. We talked with other customers of the large craft brew business in Vermont, since the 3 of us have all been to many of them. I had a Dead Parrot and a Blueberry Ale. Both extremely tasty. I highly recommend checking out this place. The ceiling fans were bicycle spokes with taps“
“I fully expected bar food when I arrived. I ended up being amazed. I got blackened chicken "Mediterranean style" with artichokes and spinach with black beans and rice and roasted vegetables. I could only eat most of it. In fact, if I had room for dessert I would have just saved my leftovers for that course. Also, Amanda was efficient and engaging. But the amazing thing is that it is obviously a great atmosphere when someone like Chris, who's not even your server engages with you when they pass your table. All great people, but without great management, it's hard for even the best people to be this amazing doing such a high paced and stressful job.Kudos.“
“It's okay. Kinda like a step up from fast food. Nothing really noteworthy about the menu. One thing that was so weird....a robot brought our food to the table....yes, I said robot. The robot was rude....he said "take your food" (No please???) That means someone from the table has to stand up and serve all of the meals. It just keep getting closer and closer to fast food. You need a food runner.....seriously! #Weird“
“I love this place! The food is not your ordinary bar food and it’s delicious! The service has been great every time I’ve been there, and the ambiance is casual yet cozy. Shakespeare’s is one of my favorite spots to grab a bite!Vegetarian options: The black bean burger and the portobello mushroom “burger” are so yum!!“
“Layout/atmosphere*Exterior of building looks like a red barn; horseshoe bar in center of room; nine TVs; internet jukebox; pool table; foosball table; golf arcade game; five seat window counter; smoking permitted; parking in front; tables outsideFood/drink*No food menu*Snack food (chips, pretzels)*“
“I’ve been in this parking lot a million times (either staying at the hotel next door, or charging the Tesla) and have never eaten here but always wanted to. Today we stopped on our way home and it was excellent!! Great food, great service! Something for everyone on the menu, and great kids menu too! Affordable pricing, great family dinner place. Salads are excellent!!! We’ll be back!“
“Was visiting from out of town when we stumbled into this establishment. The bartenders and patrons were very friendly. I had inquired about a specialty drink (Surfer on Acid) and instead of brushing me off, they took the time to look up the recipe and delivered on my request. Thanks for the hospitality!“
“First-time diners. My wife had the french dip, two of us had fish and chips, and one had the chicken tenders and chips. Everyone was pleased with their food. Our server did a good job. My only suggestion is to not have tables so close together. When people were seated next to us, there was no separation.“
“I like this place! I go to Gecko in different locations and I like the atmosphere and the service. I was happy to have Peter assisting us. Attentive, professional, dedicated! This time I chose a margherita flatbread, well done, yummy, the dough a little drier than my preference, but it didn't take away from the overall flavor. Congratulations to the Geckos’ team who try to maintain the standard of the restaurants.Parking: Parking exclusively for customers“
“This is by far the best bar in not only Gulf Gate, but Sarasota as well. Not only is the owner Brandon an amazing person, but the bartenders are top tier. They make you laugh and want to have a good day also. I will never go to another bar.“
“My friend,Gail, and I went to Tap 72 for the first time. We had lobster roll dinner from the Maine Lobster Truck, craft beers from the Tap, and enjoyed the Al fresco dining! Meagan was a very sweet and proficient bartendress. We will go back- enjoyed the inside crowd and ambiance as well.“
“The pub is located in a small strip center that is a bit rundown. You can't determine if they are open from the front windows. Try the door, they are probably open. My son-in-law and I visited them on Easter Sunday and they were open,Premier Football (soccer) matches draw patrons. There are an ample amount of tables but most of the crowd sits at the bar positioning themselves for proper screen viewing. We sat at a table with countertop chairs. You can smell that smoking has been allowed, although none of the customers were imbibing at the time. I also did not see ashtrays at the bar. Our goal was simple, order an authentic English Breakfast. Champions appear to be a basic mom-and-pop restaurant. Pop takes the orders and tends bar, mom is in the kitchen preparing orders. I ordered a small breakfast which I will share in an attached photo. The order was huge. The full breakfast has an additional egg and double meat. English breakfasts include eggs, fried bread or toast, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, bangers, and ham. I suggest ordering a small breakfast unless you are beyond hungry.I have been fortunate to enjoy a proper English Breakfast in the UK and what Champions prepares is the real deal. One of the others ordered curry chicken and I'm disappointed that I didn't try it, but it is on my list for the next time I visit. Bottom line, I highly recommend Champions Pub if you enjoy British food, or enjoy European Football. I will rate this a five-star meal, but overall I will give it a four only because of the smoking atmosphere.“
“This place is fabulous.you walk through the door and everyone says hi. It's like Cheers bar but, much better weather. I have not been to a bar as friendly as this in decades. Bartenders attentive and friendly. Beer cold, very important. Clean beer lines, I know this because I have been bartending for over 17 years. Stop in and say hi.“
“One of my top favorite restaurants here in Siesta Key. The chicken tenders and fries hit the spot when you’re hungry. But best of all, the chips and cheese were the best! I would order 5 dishes of it if I could. They also really it the spot. Also, MVP- My Village Pub is a great place to watch sports as there is a lot of tv’s surrounding you. Lastly, the waiter’s are amazing. They were quick to our table and were very polite. I 100% recommend this place!“
“Great service! Our waitress was fun, lively and so attentive. She served all the tables inside and out and didn't miss a beat. Our drinks were good. Burgers were so yummy. As were our other meals: fish dinner was so good. 3 nice fried pieces, cole slaw, fries. Fish tacos were tasty as well. Ordered onion rings for table- thick rings with a great tasting sauce. Good day to sit out and have a beer, eat some food- have some laughs.“
“I’ve been coming here for years at least once a week however my favorite beer the walking tree ipa is no longer available and is incredibly disappointing. Couldn’t bring myself to drop stars because of this but idk if I can continue to come as often. It was a staple to my visits because it’s the only place I could get it. Love the staff and bar tenders. ?“
