Just tried Yao’s out tonight and we loved it! The decor is inviting and warm. The service was great, Marissa was our server and she did a great job explaining the menu to us and making sure we were enjoying our meal! And the food! Oh my gosh! We got a bunch of small plates and shared it all. I think my favorites were the General Yao’s fried tofu and the firecracker shrimp! There are so many more menu items to try! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
We loved our experience at Yao’s! We went for a date night and tried several items on the menu. All were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! Owner came to our table and was very hospitable and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant for the cozy atmosphere, amazing cuisine and creativity! We are foodies and this spot definitely delivered!!

Yao's is a chic, modern, and classy Chinese restaurant offering a true culinary experience. The food is delicious, flavorful, and the real deal. Many dishes receive high praise, especially the Shanghai Sticky Ribs, which are repeatedly called great, phenomenal, and a must-try. The Ribs, Mongolian beef, General Yao's chicken, shrimp fried rice, truffle fried rice, three pigs fried rice, dumplings, noodles, wings, charred edamame, grilled char siu pork, sauteed green beans, crab rangoon, and beef and broccoli cavatelli are all highlighted. The desserts are also noted as one of a kind.
Some notes are made on the breading for items like the Firecracker Shrimp, Orange Honey Chicken, and wings, which some find a little overwhelming or a bit thick. However, the food consistently has good taste and great flavor. The atmosphere supports family-style dining, perfect for a group outing to try different dishes. The staff is incredible, attentive, friendly, fun, and awesome. The service is fabulous, with knowledgeable servers who recommend amazing plates. The restaurant operates by reservations but also accepts walk-ins. The preparation and presentation show a lot of attention, making it a chef-inspired masterpiece in the Orlando area.
