Had a great meal with great service! The sourdough bread with olive oil is delicious!
We walked in today for the first time and felt so welcomed, we were going to just check out the menu and possibly order something togo. After such a nice greeting we decided to sit and eat, everything was delicious from the soup to the meatball app to the main course! BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT
Where do I begin? I planned a wonderful gathering of friends for a birthday. I called on Tuesday for a Saturday reservation and was able to get one for 7:30. We arrived a few minutes early but were promptly seated at 7:30. Our server was nothing short of a delight. She got water for the table and mentioned (politely) that the restaurant was busy and they were short staffed but she would get our drinks out ASAP. Positano Ristorante Italiano by Bachi's is a classy, high-end Italian restaurant suitable for both lunch and dinner. The food is excellent, outstanding, and very, very good, with huge, well-portioned dishes made to order. Specific standout meals include the exceptional lasagna, the outstanding sea bass and seafood soup, the veal parmesan, lobster ravioli, and the New York steak special. The tiramisu is quite good, and the Caesar salad, house salad, stuffed mushrooms, and bread service are all noted. The Cappuccino is beautifully presented. Prices are a little high but fair and worth it for the quality and experience.
Service is excellent, impeccable, attentive, professional, polished, and helpful without being intrusive. Reservations are handled flawlessly. The ambiance is first-class, though opinions on the live entertainment vary. The band is excellent, refined, and talented, kept at a background level for some, but others find it way too loud, even in the upper room. The music style is also noted as being for an older crowd. The atmosphere otherwise allows for easy conversation.
Overall, it is a top-notch restaurant with outstanding food and excellent service, strongly recommended for a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
