I recently dined at Edan Bistro in North Miami. The food was good overall, but I left feeling that something was missing. While the dishes were well-prepared, the meal didn’t feel particularly satisfying, and I was still hungry after dinner.

One challenge was the menu itself. I found it somewhat confusing to navigate, especially when it came to appetizers. A clearer selection or better guidance on how to build a complete meal would have improved the experience. The restaurant focuses on Basque-inspired cuisine and tasting-menu style dining, which may explain some of that structure.

The absolute highlight of the evening was the Basque cheesecake. It was easily one of the best I’ve ever had: incredibly creamy, rich without being overly sweet, and worth returning for on its own. The cheesecake is one of the restaurant’s signature items and is frequently praised by diners and reviewers.

Overall, a good experience with excellent dessert, but I think the menu could be more approachable and the portions or meal progression could leave guests feeling more satisfied. I’d consider coming back for the cheesecake alone“
