“"Believe me the very next time our SnowBird relatives and friends come to visit/vacation Shaggy's Bar/Grill Restaurant definitely will be the only recommended place on the Beach to wine and dine. An Awesome place to eat. Fabulous place on the water over looking Inlet, delicious Food and our waitress KATIE was so tentative, helpful, warm and friendly with a DO COME BACK Atmosphere she Created. The upstairs Outdoors atmosphere and Vibes are awesome, we started off with the Seafood Fries, for our Main meal was the Captain's Platter for 2, was such a large portion we still had to ask for a carryout. My wife and I were celebrating our 52nd Anniversary, her 76th birthday and my 79th birthday on 16th of February. The Manager was Extremely Welcoming and Super Nice. Once KATIE found out we were Celebrating Our Birthdays and Anniversary She Gifted us each with slices of Fantastic Tasting Red Velvet Cake. The Food was delivered fast and Hot! Once again Very Friendly Staff, Definitely a 5-Star Restaurant!!“

“Our dinners and appetizer were spot on! We had the grouper bites and for dinner we had the stuffed shrimp and the stuffed grouper with crawdad Julie! Absolutely delicious!!! The hotel was spotless, the views were breathtaking, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. “The pizza was seriously delicious — great crust, tasty sauce, and fresh toppings. Huge bonus for having both Coke Zero and Diet Coke (surprisingly hard to find, and much appreciated for my friend group who drinks both😄).

The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and everything just hit the spot. Definitely recommend if you want good pizza and solid drink choices.

“We sat at the bar and Johnny & Maddie were so sweet, personable and helpful. I took Maddie’s suggestion on the great balls of fire appetizer & tsunami sushi roll and both were delicious. My friend had the cheeseburger and it was huge and delicious. Amazing service. Knew what we wanted before we even said it. Extra sauces, more water, etc. definitely recommend.“

“Restaurant Iron has long been our go-to destination in downtown Pensacola. Its intimate ambiance, dedicated upscale menu, and consistent quality made it stand out above any other establishment in the area. We’ve brought out-of-town guests to showcase the richness of the local cuisine, always confident that the experience—from the first cocktail to the last bite of Nutella or raspberry ganache pie—would impress. Our typical order was a ritual: shareable truffle fries, a perfectly cooked ribeye (always photo-worthy), and a decadent dessert to close. These elements, paired with the cozy atmosphere, were what made Iron so special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on May 9 was deeply disappointing. Despite the torrential downpour, we didn’t think twice about keeping our reservation. But upon arrival, we were met with an entirely different experience. The menu, which now features sliders and sandwich-style dishes, felt more suited for a casual lunch spot than the refined dining experience we had come to love. Several signature dishes were removed, and the new offerings didn’t align with the elevated identity Iron once upheld. Even the menu design itself no longer reflects the restaurant’s original charm. Service also fell short of expectations. We were served the wrong salad, and the correct one arrived without dressing. Dessert—though eventually comped—took an unexpectedly long time to be served, rounding out an already lackluster evening. We truly hope this is a temporary shift. Restaurant Iron was once our top choice for special occasions and recommendations. But based on our last visit, we no longer feel confident choosing it for a date night or referring friends and family. Please reconsider restoring the signature dishes and experience that made Iron exceptional.“

“I have been eating at Taco Rock for several years and every single time I have been happy and full. Their food is always on point and delicious. I was short a couple of dollars one time so I asked the woman at the window if she could hold my food and I’ll be back with the remaining $. She kindly told me to leave with the food and return when I can with the rest of the $. My sister took the money up there for me the same day because I got tied up at work. This business is a rare gem. A++“

“They were pretty busy, so the service seemed to be dragging as we were outside and it was a tad chilly. However, we really did like our waitress, and she took good care of us. The food was fantastic, and we ordered a couple of nice cold beers. She took a few minutes to tell us about the history of the restaurant and encouraged us to go in and see the brick oven, which I did. A cook was shoving a huge pizza in there when I walked in, so it's not just a show piece, they actually are using the brick oven! We enjoyed this place a lot. Not from here, just passing through, but we will be sure to stop in again on our way through! Thank you to the kind cook for the photo opp! :)“

They wrote his name on the board, stowed our birthday cake in their fridge and brought it out with candles lit the time came to sing. The owner treats you like family, the staff are extremely professional, courteous, friendly and always go the extra mile to not only meet customers' expectations, but to exceed them.
