“"Believe me the very next time our SnowBird relatives and friends come to visit/vacation Shaggy's Bar/Grill Restaurant definitely will be the only recommended place on the Beach to wine and dine. An Awesome place to eat. Fabulous place on the water over looking Inlet, delicious Food and our waitress KATIE was so tentative, helpful, warm and friendly with a DO COME BACK Atmosphere she Created. The upstairs Outdoors atmosphere and Vibes are awesome, we started off with the Seafood Fries, for our Main meal was the Captain's Platter for 2, was such a large portion we still had to ask for a carryout. My wife and I were celebrating our 52nd Anniversary, her 76th birthday and my 79th birthday on 16th of February. The Manager was Extremely Welcoming and Super Nice. Once KATIE found out we were Celebrating Our Birthdays and Anniversary She Gifted us each with slices of Fantastic Tasting Red Velvet Cake. The Food was delivered fast and Hot! Once again Very Friendly Staff, Definitely a 5-Star Restaurant!!“

“First time here. Excellent service! I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp appetizer. Unfortunately the shrimp was overcooked and the stuffing was mostly breading and also mushy. The cream sauce on top was delicious. I paid $14+ for four medium shrimp. Not recommended.“

“I went there today with a friend and her daughters, and we had such a great experience! The food was absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I hadn’t been in a couple of years, and I was pleasantly surprised by the additional space. The new layout makes everything feel more open and comfortable, and it definitely enhances the overall atmosphere. Great service, great food, and a great time—we’ll definitely be back soon!“

“Good pizza, nice staff (although some were wearing trump shirts instead of uniforms, which is weird), but the price is pretty outrageous given the prices of everything else in the area. We spent more here for a celebrity pizza, a soda, and a beer than we did for dinner for 2, apps and drinks at crabs, flounders, and other local spots.“

“I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! I have been visiting Pensacola for years, and every time I visit, I always stop at this place and have NEVER been disappointed! My sister-in-law and I came together this weekend (her first time in Pensacola), and she loved it so much, she insisted we eat here THREE times in our two day trip! lol You don't have to twist my arm!! They have the best servers, like Rachel and Kayla, and they always have amazing food and a HUGE menu! I have never left there hungry or disappointed! You definitely need to try the crab bisque! It's literally the BEST bisque I've EVER had! If you don't stop here for at least one night you're here, you're missing out!! ❤️“

“Restaurant Iron has long been our go-to destination in downtown Pensacola. Its intimate ambiance, dedicated upscale menu, and consistent quality made it stand out above any other establishment in the area. We’ve brought out-of-town guests to showcase the richness of the local cuisine, always confident that the experience—from the first cocktail to the last bite of Nutella or raspberry ganache pie—would impress. Our typical order was a ritual: shareable truffle fries, a perfectly cooked ribeye (always photo-worthy), and a decadent dessert to close. These elements, paired with the cozy atmosphere, were what made Iron so special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on May 9 was deeply disappointing. Despite the torrential downpour, we didn’t think twice about keeping our reservation. But upon arrival, we were met with an entirely different experience. The menu, which now features sliders and sandwich-style dishes, felt more suited for a casual lunch spot than the refined dining experience we had come to love. Several signature dishes were removed, and the new offerings didn’t align with the elevated identity Iron once upheld. Even the menu design itself no longer reflects the restaurant’s original charm. Service also fell short of expectations. We were served the wrong salad, and the correct one arrived without dressing. Dessert—though eventually comped—took an unexpectedly long time to be served, rounding out an already lackluster evening. We truly hope this is a temporary shift. Restaurant Iron was once our top choice for special occasions and recommendations. But based on our last visit, we no longer feel confident choosing it for a date night or referring friends and family. Please reconsider restoring the signature dishes and experience that made Iron exceptional.“

“Amazing restaurant with a killer view. We brought our dog and he was treated well and given water. Sitting outside is a must. We ordered the key lime martini, key lime tart, mahi mahi reuben, fried green tomatoes, and the burger. Everything was fantastic, except my burger was a little overcooked (i like it very pink) and the reuben was a little dry, and would've been better with sauerkraut. We will absolutely come back. New Zealand Greenlip mussels in a perfectly spiced red curry broth (my wife doesn't do spicy but loved this dish). She had the Black Widow sushi roll. I had the Alyxandria. Both were super fresh and the combination of flavors were excellent. We'll be back!! if you've not tried Khon's on Palafox, I'd recommend getting there soon. Not a big place and, once sushi lovers know just how good it is, it'll be tough to get a seat.“

“The Mrs and I went here for her birthday. The service was second to none. Top 5 best service I would say. The appetizers, lobster tempura and crab beignets, were absolutely amazing! We split a chopped salad, it was........ a salad. She had the filet, and I, the pork chops. The filet was good. She had it oscar with a side of squash. The hollandaise and crab meat. Mmmuha! Wonderful. The squash was just that, squash. My pork chop was the Bee's Knees, if I might say! Medium well or well is how they offer it, no less. It was tender and not dry at all. My only thing would be the brussel sprouts. I know they were supposed to be crispy, but they were a little too burnt for my taste. Dessert was the chocolate mousse. Now lemme tell ya. That was the best chocolate mousse ever. I'd go back just for that! Take your date here. You won't regret it. Great time, good food, and the best service!! Enjoy!“

My favorites are the asada fries, Birria tacos, Cali burrito, and the tamales are fantastic.
