“"Believe me the very next time our SnowBird relatives and friends come to visit/vacation Shaggy's Bar/Grill Restaurant definitely will be the only recommended place on the Beach to wine and dine. An Awesome place to eat. Fabulous place on the water over looking Inlet, delicious Food and our waitress KATIE was so tentative, helpful, warm and friendly with a DO COME BACK Atmosphere she Created. The upstairs Outdoors atmosphere and Vibes are awesome, we started off with the Seafood Fries, for our Main meal was the Captain's Platter for 2, was such a large portion we still had to ask for a carryout. My wife and I were celebrating our 52nd Anniversary, her 76th birthday and my 79th birthday on 16th of February. The Manager was Extremely Welcoming and Super Nice. Once KATIE found out we were Celebrating Our Birthdays and Anniversary She Gifted us each with slices of Fantastic Tasting Red Velvet Cake. The Food was delivered fast and Hot! Once again Very Friendly Staff, Definitely a 5-Star Restaurant!!“

“the bartender was awesome the food was great our waiter was extremely nice however there is no reason that a man spends $140 on a great meal and has a great time only for his fiance to be disrespected by a guy who's gossiping with the girls he works with sir just because gay does not give you the right to speak to another man's woman and that manner you're lucky I didn't find you because I was going to ask you where the bathroom was and to see if you was going to give me that same type of tone and disrespect I don't have nothing against being gay but that doesn't give you a free ride to speak to any woman the way you want to speak to him especially another man's woman $140 meal great time all for it to be ruined about one person and for my fiance to be spoken down to like a piece of dirt that's pathetic and no I have nothing against homosexuals but just because you want to be one of the girls and act like I'm just not give you the right to speak to any woman that comes in there like they're trash and for you to be a waiter or a dishwasher or whatever you are you're going to speak to someone's woman like that one day and it's going to be the wrong man that finds you near the kitchen and it's going to have a nice firm talk with you or something else but beside this one person food was excellent bartender was awesome if you ever go get bartender Luke he's on point 24/7“

And not only did he know what we needed before we asked, he had a great personality and made our meal extra fun! Next time we go we are asking for Danny!“

I hadn’t been in a couple of years, and I was pleasantly surprised by the additional space. We spent more here for a celebrity pizza, a soda, and a beer than we did for dinner for 2, apps and drinks at crabs, flounders, and other local spots.“

Its intimate ambiance, dedicated upscale menu, and consistent quality made it stand out above any other establishment in the area. We’ve brought out-of-town guests to showcase the richness of the local cuisine, always confident that the experience—from the first cocktail to the last bite of Nutella or raspberry ganache pie—would impress. Our typical order was a ritual: shareable truffle fries, a perfectly cooked ribeye (always photo-worthy), and a decadent dessert to close. These elements, paired with the cozy atmosphere, were what made Iron so special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on May 9 was deeply disappointing. Despite the torrential downpour, we didn’t think twice about keeping our reservation. But upon arrival, we were met with an entirely different experience. The menu, which now features sliders and sandwich-style dishes, felt more suited for a casual lunch spot than the refined dining experience we had come to love. Several signature dishes were removed, and the new offerings didn’t align with the elevated identity Iron once upheld. Even the menu design itself no longer reflects the restaurant’s original charm. Service also fell short of expectations. We were served the wrong salad, and the correct one arrived without dressing. Dessert—though eventually comped—took an unexpectedly long time to be served, rounding out an already lackluster evening. We truly hope this is a temporary shift. Restaurant Iron was once our top choice for special occasions and recommendations. But based on our last visit, we no longer feel confident choosing it for a date night or referring friends and family. Please reconsider restoring the signature dishes and experience that made Iron exceptional.“

New Zealand Greenlip mussels in a perfectly spiced red curry broth (my wife doesn't do spicy but loved this dish). She had the Black Widow sushi roll. I had the Alyxandria. Both were super fresh and the combination of flavors were excellent. We'll be back!! if you've not tried Khon's on Palafox, I'd recommend getting there soon. Not a big place and, once sushi lovers know just how good it is, it'll be tough to get a seat.“

“The District is an amazing dining experience: elegant and fresh. Last week I had the swordfish and Nassau rice/grits with asparagus. It was delightfully light, yet very filling. I also really enjoyed the fact that the upstairs area has live music. It feels very classy and welcoming. 5 stars for me!“
