Crab Trap Perdido Key offers generous portions, with the crab and shrimp dip being a standout. The captains platter is huge, leaving plenty for leftovers. The Bairdi crab is some of the best crab legs ever eaten, well worth the money. The Crab Trap Mahi was wonderful, and the gumbo and hush puppies come highly recommended. First-time visitors must try the crab cakes, which were awesome. Despite slow service at times, the calamari, deviled crab & shrimp, and mahi mahi impressed. Chef Ray was terrific, and the food was even better. Great service from Carson and the wait staff. The kid-friendly menu offers seafood options, and there's a playground outside for the kids. With a great local feel and ocean view, it remains one of the best restaurants on the gulf coast, very well priced and sesame friendly. Patience may be needed, but the great food makes it worth a visit.
