“The food was great but the drunk guys at the bar tried to get me to pay for his bill and his bully guards tab. When I refused, I was yelled at, cursed at, threatened, completely and utterly publicly disrespected, and I honestly was afraid to leave right away because I thought I would continue to get THUGGED in the parking lot. I took pictures of the clowns who tried to thug me and will share it willingly with anyone who interviews thugs who tried to extort tourists or other ppl from out of town who visit Astor Floridas Castaways Restaurant Bar and Grill. I was disappointed when, after staff heard this guy shout at me, all they said to the guy was “be nice” then left the room. The harassment continued the staff did not stop the threats or shouting! WTF Castaways? When I left, I met the dish washer guy at the corner store and gave him a copy of my business card as long either photos of the thugs. I sure hope he was honest and gave the information to the owner! Please 86 these guys. They should be permanently BANNED from your restaurant and charges brought up; I’m reporting it to the local police first thing Monday morning. Stop the crime! Stop extortion! There is no excuse!!!“

“The food and service are not an issue both are outstanding. This is a theme restaurant a theme I like I am old South? nostalgia means a lot to me I am certainly willing to pay anyone who can take me back to my childhood this place does just that. I have gotten to old to deal with crowds we go places like this in the off season. I would receive a bit of modernization reservations required and observed. The 18 percent gratuity has not been an issue because we have not had a bad experience if there is a manager on site to speak with should there be a problem there behavior would decide if we returned. Been going for year's I do believe the new management is a vast improvement.“
