About Pepper Lunch

Pepper Lunch is a Japanese-based restaurant chain with over 30 years of history, known for serving authentic Japanese comfort food. The restaurant specializes in dishes like steak and other proteins served sizzling hot on cast iron plates that are heated to 500°F, allowing customers to cook their food to their desired doneness. It is similar to many steak griddle restaurants found in Japan, where quick, inexpensive, and hot meals are common. The food is consistently praised for being hot, fresh, and beautifully presented, with high-quality proteins, rice, and vegetables. Popular meals like Tofu and Veggie dishes and chicken karaage receive high marks for their taste and crispiness. The restaurant's clean environment, easy ordering system with self-serve kiosks, and attentive staff contribute to a positive dining experience. Many reviewers mention that the flavors closely match those from Japan, with some noting the curry as particularly authentic and comforting. Despite being more expensive in the US, the quality remains impressive. Overall, Pepper Lunch is highly recommended for those seeking Japanese comfort food, quick service, and a satisfying meal that offers a taste of Japan in a casual setting.

Was just like we remembered when we found pepper lunch in Hong Kong 10 years ago. Brought back great memories

I loved this place when I lived in Japan and I was so excited to see it come to the states and they did not let me down. I wish there was one closer to Wesley Chapel.

Absolutely fantastic food, I'm so happy they opened a location here in Pinellas Park. A friend introduced me to Pepper Lunch and have been back a few times since. Great flavors and quality ingredients. The pepper steak with rice and the curry hamburger with rice are my favorites so far.
