Just save yourself the hassle and go to another location. This is by far the most poorly managed Pollo Tropical I've ever been to. Extremely long wait times, non-existent customer service, and the food quality is consistently subpar.

This location ALWAYS out of stuff even if it's 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm!!! NO PORK... NO DESSERT ...NO CURRY MUSTARD SAUCE! Their excuse no one to make it ! Then when you order it they have the ORDER WRONG!!

In person visit...ordered cuban sandwich and fries...both delivered cold. When I asked for a replacement, I was met with an attitude from the workers at the counter. Unacceptable... but so typical for the current culture.New fries hot... but sandwich still cold!!! Threw sandwich out as it isn't safe to eat. How do you make the same mistake twice?Health department needs to visit and test food temperatures... owners need to be held liable for lack of employee training.Stay clear of this location.

I feel very upset because yesterday I went to your drive thru at 11:40, to order some food, since I had an emergency at my house, when I got to the window a man in a very derogatory way waved at me No, they didn't even come to the window to talk to me, they just didn't want to help me. UnacceptableOrdered a Caribbean trioWent to the window, paid, I went forward thinking there was a second window. When I came back to the first window in less than 2 seconds after moving forward, I come back to the lady that took my payment laughing hysterically at me. She proceeded to tell the whole staff that what do I think this place is McDonald’s. She was laughing so hard and side eyeing me so condescending that I finally asked her what are you laughing about and she proceeded to keep laughing at me saying there’s only one window. I told her it’s not that funny. She went to that back. After waiting about 4-5 minutes, another lady came back saying that they ran out of mojo pork and if I wanted extra chicken. Well I’m pregnant so I didn’t. I wanted pork but asked them if I could just get extra shrimp Instead. They had me wait about 4 minutes more and then they asked me to go to the front of the building. I’m currently sitting here and it’s been over 15 min. I didn’t come to pollo tropical to wait over 30 min for a food that I’m not even getting correctly. This is absurd. I asked for a refund and the lady lied to me that she went outside and couldn’t find me.After telling her that was a ridiculous wait and I didn’t see her she finally refunded me. In cash after I paid in card. $14 even, it was $14.49 I literally had to ask for the change back because she couldn’t even do that right.This is the 3rd time I go to this location and all 3 times I had bad experiences. I hope management sees this

My five stars are based on the customer service in the drive-through and the yuca fries. It was speedy customer service going through the drive-through. However, I am disappointed that Pollo Tropical no longer serves shrimp. When did that happen? Oh well, I've been gone for 18 years, so I guess things change.

I rarely take time to write a negative review but tonight is the exception. I love a well-prepared Pollo meal. They can’t be beat. But this location has fallen short one time too many. Tonight I decided to order ahead since I had a sick husband and young child at home who needed food and it was too late to cook. My order was placed at 8:55pm with a 9:08pm pickup. I arrived at 9:10 to find that my order hadn’t even been pulled from printer. I waited 10 full minutes and watched a sloppily dressed woman wearing what I would imagine should be a dirty manager’s striped button front shirt draped around her neck over a filthy green t-shirt and precariously perched hat “prepare” my order. While I waited in silence I had time to notice the dirty floors in the eating area and watched another employee sort of hose down a prep sink causing broccoli bits to fly all over the kitchen area and nearly hit the service counter where the orders is handed off. They stopped mid-clean leaving water and broccoli everywhere. This was, by the way, right. next to the container housing the salad. The woman finally brought my order items up to the counter at 9:18 and COUGHED WITHOUT COVERING HER MOUTH as she stuck stickers to the bag. I was so eager to get the heck out that I didn’t stop to inspect that my order was complete and correct.It wasn’t.My “Ceasar” salad had no dressing, I got beans but no rice in one order and beans I didn’t order in a second. The chicken was cold, the fries in my daughters kids meal were not actual fries but mostly the broken off ends of wedges… no potato just coating.We had to rustle up some rice for my husband to eat and my 8yo couldn’t eat the fries. I added dressing from my fridge to my lettuce and was barely an able to finish the food.This was a major disappointment.This store should do better.

I do have to say this pollo tropical finally got their act together!! Idk if it's new management or new staff but wow!! The food is hot, tasty, and seems fresh. The pork is on point no burnt ends, white rice taste fresh not that it sat there. The two ladies at 5:30pm on January 2,2024 was amazing. The cashier was super friendly and the lady on the line prepping the food for the in house customers was amazing!!! Keep it up Pollo Teopical at the Broward and university location!!
