Although I was only there briefly, I had the opportunity to speak with two staff members, Judah and Izzy, who were exceptionally courteous, professional, and welcoming. They took the time to engage in conversation in a sincere and respectful way, which made the environment feel warm and well-run.

Their kindness and professionalism left a strong impression, and it genuinely made me interested in returning to dine in and experience the restaurant properly. Based on the interaction alone, it’s clear they take pride in creating a positive atmosphere for guests.

“Authentic Israeli style shawarma is one of the hardest things to find in this country. They absolutely nail it at Friendship Grill. The food can cure antisemitism. Seriously, it is made with love and delicious beyond words. Make sure to ask for the amba sauce. It is a sweet, slightly spicy sauce made from fermented mango and several spices. You will not regret it. To be honest, it is expensive. One shawarma pita with no sides is $36. But you are right in the middle of Las Olas, and it is getting harder and harder for restaurants to survive on what people think prices should be. So do not fault them for that. Your money is also going to a genuinely good cause. Look up Chabad. Their charity is legendary worldwide, and the restaurant is directly affiliated with them. Also, Spencer did a great job taking my order today. If you want something truly unique that you cannot get just anywhere, while also supporting Israel and treating yourself to an incredible meal, go to Friendship Grill. Just do not come Friday evening.“

“This place totally rocks! Lana...our server...was exceptionally nice and friendly. We decided on burgers and I had the pastrami burger. It was absolutely delicious...There is plenty of outdoor seating with iguanas roaming around...I did not mind and actually thought they were kind of cute. The price of the food is commensurate with most Kosher dining but hey...what's wrong with Kosher? Five stars for sure!“

“Shawarma Bar took great care of our large group! I had a party of 20+ young adults, and they were incredibly accommodating and flexible with us. They even gave us the lunch student special for dinner, which was such a great deal!

The service was fast, the customer service was excellent, there was plenty of space for our group, and most importantly, the food was delicious.

“New to Sunrise and truly excellent. Prices are competitive with all the others. They offer turkey and beef shawarma but give you a little bit extra by including an order of fries with every shawarma. They go out of their way to make sure your visit is enjoyable. “I think that Smash House is an amazing place. My husband happened upon it when he was at Wynn Dixie doing his weekly meat shopping. The owner gave him an intro deal (that was not even the great part) but it was 100 dollars for 24 patties and all of the fixin's including gluten free rolls! My daughter and I are gfcf so that was incredible. The flavors blended. The carmalized onions the sweet pickles and the red onions were so good together but to top it off there was cheese and the bun toasted was the best ever. This place needs more customers! pack it in because you won't be sorry“

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. The staff made us feel completely taken care of throughout the evening. For dinner, we ordered the salmon with mushroom sauce, served with a potato croquette and broccolini—and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, and the mushroom sauce added a rich, savory depth that complemented it beautifully. The potato croquette was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the broccolini was fresh and cooked just right. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and thoughtfully prepared.
