“I found this place earlier last week and have already been there three times since! The first time I tried the chicken Philly “all the way” and it was really good. But now I think I found my new favorite sandwich ever — the pizza steak. I get it with chicken instead of steak and add mushrooms, and it’s so good. I’ve ordered that the last two times I went. Everything I’ve had so far has been fresh and really flavorful. Definitely glad I found this place and I’ll be back again.“

“Had lunch there on Saturday with my daughter and had a good experience. Mike who took care of us was friendly and funny. Food was very good. My daughter and I both ordered the quesadillas,she chicken and me steak. Both were tasty and presented nicely,sliced and stacked. Fries were good also.
I've been passing this place for years and decided yesterday to give it a try after reading so many good reviews.

“My server was wonderful—attentive, friendly, and checked in on my son and me throughout our visit. The food was also excellent.

Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by the host. She seemed disengaged and neglected customers, including us. Despite seeing us arrive and calling her over, she continued cleaning tables without acknowledging us. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 15 years, and this behavior is not acceptable for a host. She didn’t smile or interact appropriately with any guests, and I observed her treating multiple customers the same way. At one point, she even yelled across the restaurant to an elderly customer instead of approaching them politely.

I mentioned the issue to my server, and the host overheard and finally adjusted her behavior—but this shouldn’t have been necessary.

While the server and food made for a good experience, the host’s attitude really needs improvement. I hope management addresses this so future guests can have the welcoming experience they deserve.

“We came to Ormond Beach for Christmas 🎄 vacation..we came to this location to get lunch before checking into our hotel. Detty (according to the receipt, because I don't recall her saying her name or wearing a name tag) she was very helpful and attentive. My daughter had I both ordered the ultimate classic combo. I got the wonton tacos, Buffalo wings, and quesadillas. And my daughter got the wonton tacos and two orders of Buffalo wings. She also got a strawberry margarita. And I got a strawberry lemonade. The wonton tacos were different here in Ormond Beach verses in Atlanta where I live. The shell was airy and like a light weight cracker and broke very easily, so I didnt really care for that. Everything else was pretty delicious. We will visit again if in the area again.“

“What a gem! I'm new to the area, but my friend is a local who can often be found at Surf Lounge partaking in interactive gaming, pool tournaments, or simply enjoying a drink after a hard day's work. I've had only a few samples of the food there so I really can't speak on that just yet, however, the few "bites" were great. The staff is friendly, efficient service, and happy to answer my "not from NSB" questions. The patrons are also a friendly bunch. I think Surf Lounge will be a favorite watering hole ...and I recommend all you tourists vacationing in New Smyrna Beach to stop in to Surf Lounge, relax, have a drink, and a bite to eat ... It's my kinda "retro" for sure.--Sandy
