Very rude host, they turned our family of four away when we requested to dine on the patio (claiming it was “too windy”), then proceeded to take in larger parties on the patio.
We walked to Quattro loco and dined on their patio with no issue, and the food was delicious as well so it was a win for us anyways!
Also, should mention that this is the second time this has happened to us at this Peppers location. We won’t be back for a 3rd 😓
Terrible hostess. We showed up ready to enjoy peppers and was turned away when we requested to sit on the patio since we had our dog with us because “it was to windy”. Which would have been understandable if nobody else was sitting on the patio but that was not the case. A family of six had just been seated and served there drinks when we were just walking up. Pepper's Mexican Grill & Cantina in Port St Pete offers a variety of Mexican dishes, including Al pastor tacos and quesadilla birria. This flagship location of a local Tex-Mex chain has been around since 2005 and features a friendly atmosphere with fast service. Chips and salsa are served upon seating, and while some guests have noted the salsa's flavor could be improved, many appreciate the fresh and plentiful chips. The restaurant has daily specials, such as 2-for-1 margaritas on Mondays. Customers highlight the perfect margarita, especially the frozen watermelon margarita with tajin on the rim, which is considered the best by some guests. The generous portions of cheese in their dishes are also praised. The carnitas, tortas, and carne asada street tacos are mentioned as super tasty options, with the tacos served with soft corn tortillas and a solid tomatillo salsa. While some diners find the food lacks authenticity compared to traditional Mexican cuisine, others enjoy the experience and find it a good alternative to local seafood. Overall, it's a decent option for those craving Mexican food in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
