I would have given a 5 star except for the cheap plastic picnic type wine glasses. Charging $11+ for a small pour and then serve in a picnic soft plastic glass was not appreciated. Even a hard plastic non-stem wine glass would be better.
Group of 4. My wife didn't care for her meal but nothing wrong with it...just not what she expected. We will definitely be back.
I got the all-American Smashburger. It was fabulous. My husband got the club. It was great as well. Our service was fabulous.

Castaways offers a fun, welcoming atmosphere with live music and water in the background, making the experience feel like being on an island. The renovations are outstanding, with owners putting thought and love into the decorating. The scenery is extraordinary, especially for the sunset, with beautiful waterfront views. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and huge, with wall art, decor, two bars, merchandise, and so much to look at. It has a fun atmosphere and feels like more than just a regular restaurant. The food absolutely hits the spot, and the drinks are some of the best in Charlotte County. The menu has a lot of options. The smash burgers, coney dog, wings, Mahi tacos, chips salsa guacamole queso, and drinks do not disappoint. The new clean atmosphere is amazing, and the food is excellent. The waterfront is spectacular. The location is good. Service is good. The restaurant was packed, a madhouse in the best way, but everything flowed well, and everyone worked hard. Managers are out on the floor, going from table to table, checking on guests, making sure everyone is happy, helping wherever needed, and keeping an eye on everything. They are present, attentive, upbeat, enthusiastic, and make the experience feel personal instead of rushed or chaotic. The management is hands-on and genuinely cares about guests, staff, and making sure the restaurant runs smoothly. The staff is accommodating, nice, happy, and friendly. The owners are sweet and grateful for the business. Castaways is a memorable experience, and guests will definitely be back.
