We had lunch here yesterday and we ordered the hush puppies with our other food. They were over cooked with some burnt spots on them. When we politely told our server Tess, her response was “that’s how they are here, so the next time you know”. We felt that she was very unprofessional and obviously didnt have the proper customer service training needed to handle this situation.
I leave many reviews most of them positive. This restaurant is less than mediocre! They should read their reviews! The service was average. We tried this restaurant 3 times. Each time the service was lacking at best not one server ever asked us how our meal was each time we had empty drinks and had to flag someone down to get refills but the biggest thing that will make us not go back is after three times visiting this restaurant not once were we impressed with anything that the...read full review
$65 for a pound of not very fresh snow crab. Just the wife and I, $210 (tip included). We won’t be returning. Much better options for 1/2 the money.

Laishley Crab House offers amazing food, drinks, and views. Guests enjoy dining outdoors with river and harbor views, or inside at wide booths. The fresh and tasty cuisine, like the Grouper sandwich, Crab Salad Sandwich, Cuban Sandwich, and Fish Taco, is served hot. The fish and chips, with a thick but not overpowering batter, and the Reese's PB chocolate pie for dessert are highly recommended. The Captain's Platter, with Shrimp, Clam Strips, Grouper, Hush Puppies, Fries or Coleslaw, and the Blackened Scallop Salad, with Blackened Scallops over a Spring Mix with Strawberries, Walnuts and Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing, are also delicious. Appetizers like the Shrimp Cocktail and Clam Chowder are very good. The service is good and attentive, with waiters on the ball with any needs. While prices are a little high for lunch, the selections are very tasty. Laishley Crab House is a favorite for dinner, get-togethers, or celebrations, and is a must-visit spot in Punta Gorda.
