“The music and food here is very good… real Caribbean vibe and the beach isn’t too far.

One thing I didn’t like was the broken and scratched up plates very tacky. Time for some new plates and dishes.

Leonardi’s Pizza

Their dedication to finding the perfect recipes for their pies comes alive in the first bite, and delivers all the way to the last bite. I spoke with the owners Chris and Amanda, and they tried every flour and every cheese and found the best quality ingredients you could ask for. They didn’t settle on mediocrity like most NY pizza places down here in Palm Beach County.

There are 3 higher quality pizza competitors nearby. Even though I knew immediately Leonardi’s was superior, I decided I needed to do a side by side comparison. I won’t use names to protect their reputation. I picked up a slice of pizza from competitor A without having it heated up. I took it to Leonardi’s and had them heat it up with one of their own plain slices.

I didn’t realize how upsetting competitor A’s pizza made me feel until side by side. See the photos below: A’s pizza looks like it is sick and unhappy, the cheese isn’t cooked correctly because they used too much cheese and sauce. Their sauce tasted good and was seasoned well, but very watery. Because of this, the flour used and because they cook their pizza on a screen instead of directly on the stone, the crust was undercooked and soggy.

Leonardi’s slice has the perfect balance of sauce and cheese, and the thin crust crunches with every bite. This is a rare quality, you have to try it to see how well they perfected their crust. The sauce is not watery, and it is seasoned better. It has a more authentic Brooklyn flavor. Leonardi’s charges $3.25 for their plain slices, while Competitor A charges $4.00. Seriously people, don’t punish yourselves. Spoil yourself with the best pizza in town and save the 75 cents.

My last point: Chris and Amanda are GOOD people. Their energy and hospitality shines, they make you feel welcome and their store & kitchen are spotlessly clean. If you want attitude and a belly ache, try Competitor A. You’ll be back to Leonardi’s.“

“Just love this place! Came here for the first time a few weeks ago with a friend and enjoyed a late lunch again today with my husband. You’re welcomed with open arms from the moment you walk in, just sweet, friendly, warm people! Now the pizza, on a whole different level from pizza we have had, and we have had many. “It has been years since downtown Abacoa had a decent Italian restaurant. That has changed. The new owners know how to make great dishes. “This was recommended to me by a friend. She suggested the afternoon/ early evening special menu. $30. Choice of salad. I picked the Cesar which was crisp and fresh, they gave me 3 garlic rolls( I was a little disappointed they weren’t hot or warm but quickly forgot about it when I bit into the delicious oily, garlicky buttery goo on top-yum- no vampires are coming near me for awhile). Main course I selected the sole Francesca that had a side of spaghetti. The fish was cook to perfection. The lemon butter sauce is so amazing that I am sure the calories burned at my workout that morning are all forgotten about but so worth it. By now I am full but there is a dessert choice too included for $30. The tiramisu was packed up for me to bring home. Since I mentioned I have a cocoa allergy they did not put it on-yeah I very seldom get to enjoy this dessert. This a a delightful treat at home while writing this review. “This place is the best!!!Arrive early after your order so you get the pie home piping hot. NY Pizza heaven! !! I don’t know how they do it. The box is super heavy duty vented maybe but I just can’t get away from just a large cheese pie and a garden salad with house dressing. Extra cheese seems to be they way they do it ,sauce not sweet nor bitter just perfectly delicious and the thin crispy crust! I grew up on Long Island and know really good pizza.!If you call ahead and eat it there right out of the oven it’s almost a religious experience! “I had a long day and a hungry toddler so I saw the pizza sign and we went in for a slice. It was rush hour, soo busy and the owners were so friendly and happy. My son felt right at home chatting it up with them! They instinctively asked before putting in the oven not too hot right (right!), cut the slice into two to make it easier for him and each table had napkins lol so this Mom is grateful. “I truly believe that if a restaurant isn't aesthetically pleasing it's going to have great food. I've been to restaurants that are " Instagram worthy" and the food is sub par at best. Now I'm not saying that presto pizza is a run down restaurant it's comfortable and the atmosphere is very homey. The food is delicious they have buffalo wings and the wings are nice and crispy and I don't even like buffalo. I went with my family of 6 and there was still pizza left over. Over all great food great service shame that I live a bit far.“

Our server was a wonderful young man named Will who was attentive, kind, and interacted with everyone (so refreshing in this era)! He will be requested for our next visit. “I am addicted. We just moved nearby a few months ago and have been looking for a go to pizza place. We were a bit skeptical at first, seeing Romeo's is part of a gas station, but wow. Pizza is hot and fresh, the cheese and toppings are delicious and the sauce is perfect, not too sweet and not too acidic. Even the crust is good! The staff are pleasant and kind every time I've gone in. Try the zeppole!! I haven't tried their other entrees yet but hope to in the near future.

Parking: Parking may be limited depending on how busy the gas station is but I haven't had a problem grabbing a spot for take out.“

“My wife Margaret and I pretty much have always enjoyed Anthony's, even though we have to bring our own Oregano, LOL and have visited many of your restaurants. Your wellington location is now the only one we actually visit. The second or third time we visited your Wellington location. we were greeted at the door by a sweet young lady named Estee. When we sat down to dine, to our delight, we met the most delightful server named Abbey. She was simply the greatest when it came to customer attentiveness. On our next visit we asked Estee if the server with the British accent was working, telling her how much we loved that person. To our surprise Estee happily told us that the server's name is Abby and that Abbey was her mom. We try to make it there at least three or four times each month. Yes, your food is great but I'm sure that you realize that there are many great places to get great pizza in our area. Some are much closer to us than your Wellington location. But even though we can get Oregano at the other places, for us, they are missing one key ingredient, and that is ABBEY. We enjoy watching her with other customers too. She has a way of making people enjoy their dining experience. Honestly, if Abbey in not working, we actually go to the restaurants closer to our home. The evening of April 8th I was there with a friend from NYC and left my ATM card. Abbey texted me that “Liz” has it in the office. T retrieved it the following day. I was able to thank her this evening. Listen, I know that people are quick to gripe and slow to compliment, so please thank Abbey for my wife and me. We much appreciate what she adds to our dining experience.“

“Decided to try Gino's Pizza in Palm Springs today for the 1st time due to receiving their menu in the mail. I ordered a large pizza with sausage, onions and garlic with 10pc Honey Garlic wings. Went to go pickup my order and was immediately given a friendly greeting from Joe at the counter. Place is a little hole in the wall but very clean and organized. He thanked me for giving their place a try and I must say I was pleasantly surprised and they exceeded my initial expectations. The pizza was delicious, nice crispy crust with no flop, just how I like my pizza. The wings were fantastic too. Nice crisp to them as well, just how I like my wings. Highly recommend and will look forward to becoming a regular customer.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful experience when we visited the restaurant in Alton. The music was loud and we were going to leave but my wife decided to go speak with one of the managers to see if he could do anything about it because we have hearing problems. He immediately got the music turned down a little and then got us a seat within 5 minutes. The food was wonderful and Chris the GM kept checking with us that we were being taken care of. “My name is Marco, my friends brought me for my birthday. I talked to johnny, asked him for something good. He went out of his way and made me a pizza with 5 different types.
