“Dropped in for lunch, our food really good. I had the meatloaf and my friend had the fried chicken sandwich. Our server Aubrey was a pleasure. She stopped by the table quickly, took our order, brought our drinks quickly, she brought our order the moment it was ready, we mention we had an appointment, she was by the table about 4 bites left with our lunch. Brought our check quickly and closed it out immediately, and still found a little time to visit during the lunch hour rush! Perfect visit! Thank you!“

“My husband, girlfriends, and I had the best time, and “Reagan R” made it even better! She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to get service that good anywhere in Jacksonville and food that is almost as good as the service. Now a days places just throw eggs on a plate and call it a meal but this was a whole experience. One of my friends is very picky and is one of those girls that has to ask 15 annoying questions without reading the menu and Reagan was so patient with her and kind. I never write reviews but we all had such a good time that it left us talking about going back the very next day. I highly recommend asking for her and getting the cute little waffles they have!! 10/10 (plus they have mimosas so of course it’s a win win )“

“I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

“Love this place! We go five days a week for breakfast. They have amazing servers a wonderful owner and the food is perfect. Very fresh eggs homemade biscuits and I’ve never had service without a smile! By far my vote for the best breakfast in Jacksonville if you want a nice diner home-cooked meal feel! We have literally stopped going to other places for breakfast and only come here. Ask for Bailey I promise you won’t be disappointed.!“
