This place rocks. So happy that the blue fugu owners have been able to give a go of it here on St Pete Beach. Awesome sushi and rolls and tempura and drinks. Highly recommended.

Absolutely phenomenal! The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive . Everything about this place is top-notch,a true 5-star experience thanks to the wait staff - (Mesudi is great) Highly recommend checking them out!

I visited Yaki-Mono with a friend and unfortunately it was not a good experience for us. The restaurant was extremely dark, felt closed in and excessively cluttered, and there was a smell of old food that made the experience uncomfortable from the start.

The menus were sticky, and the condiment bottles on the table were filthy and oily. The tables were wet, and the table directly behind me was so close that we kept bumping chairs back-to-back numerous times. The level of clutter throughout the restaurant was beyond what I personally consider comfortable or sanitary for dining.

The dish I ordered included carrots and zucchini that tasted rancid and spoiled. The noodles were also overly sweetened, which completely overpowered the true flavor of the dish. Watch out for the miso soup as well, as it was extremely salty. The dish my friend ordered was clearly unacceptable too.

The pictures posted online appeared staged because our plates looked nothing like them.

The older lady who appeared to be the owner or manager did not come across as kind or welcoming. There was never a smile or warm gesture, and she appeared controlling, bullying and snappy toward co-workers, which added an uncomfortable feeling to the environment. Honestly, it made me uneasy about saying anything regarding the food issue.

Hopefully this criticism is taken constructively and improvements are made.

Sadly, based on this visit, I would not return or recommend it.

Note: I experienced stomach discomfort and frequent trips to the restroom shortly after eating there. Never again.

I came in after they opened around 2 PM and the food was easy to understand on the menu. I think it’s a good place to get a variety of fish have other locations. They have a filet mignon hibachi that taste good.

Hats off to the chef! Everything was fresh, beautiful & delicious. Broth is full of flavor, ramen filled to the top of the bowl, I'm stuffed! Hubby had a salmon poke bowl & assorted sashimi appetizer. The portions are small and the food is expensive. Glad we tried it, not sure if we'll return because $70 for 3 dishes is a tourist trap.
