Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant serves good food in a clean environment. The kitchen can be short-staffed at times, but the waiters are attentive and ensure that drinks are refilled and multicolored chips are warm. The salsa is a highlight, not too spicy and chunky with fresh tomato and onion. Popular dishes include the 25A combo, featuring a tostada, taco, and enchilada, as well as the enormous and delicious steak burrito, chicken enchiladas, and mexican pizza. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous, making it a great value. The service is fast and the wait staff provide excellent service and a warm welcome. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has handicapped parking. Note that parking can be limited during peak hours, but there are other spots in the Plaza.
