MÉXICO 1800 Traditional Kitchen & Tequila Bar, formerly Alebrije, is a local Mexican restaurant in the Sanford area. This nice restaurant and bar offers a Mexican atmosphere and decor. The margaritas were delicious, and so were the beers. The food was fantastic, with great flavor and plenty on the plates. The staff was very friendly and attentive to their wants.

The Shredded Chicken Chimichanga was a hit, served with fresh, homemade guacamole, salsa, and chips. The Salmon with mushroom and spinach cream sauce is AMAZING, as well as the guac. The Corn appetizer was really flavor corn, crisp and tender with a smoky flavor. The Coconut Mojito was a highlight, with coconut shavings and fresh mint. Other menu items, such as the Shrimp Aguachille, Birria Tacos, and Fajitas, also received positive feedback for their taste and freshness.

The service was excellent. The bartender was really sweet and attentive, providing good customer service. Pricing was reasonable.
