We waited a long time in line, but the food was amazing. We had bacon, egg and cheese croissants and shared the delicious cinnamon roll. It was amazing and we sat outside watching all the bike riders.
This was the best breakfast I think I have ever had. And I live in NYC, where you wait in long lines to get James Beard-awarded brunches! Usually I am disappointed in trendy breakfast spots because you wait in long lines and pay $$$ for food you could make yourself. NOT HERE PEOPLE. Stopped into Black Bear this morning for coffee and quick bite for breakfast. The ‘star’ was the blueberry-lemon scope. Really good. My chocolate croissant was good but didn’t need the powdered sugar and was unnecessary. The ham and cheese croissant would have been better without the ‘everything’ topping. Simplicity is better. Coffee was very good. I would recommend Black Bear and would go back again.
