Pizza by the Sea at Gulf Place

This place had really good pizza and service about 2 years ago. Not sure if we just chose a less desirable pie or if they've changed their ingredients, but it definitely wasn't quite as delicious as I remembered it. The high chairs were missing the belt restraint so if you have an accident prone little one, be careful.

Pizza by the Sea saved the day when our caterer was never booked and last minute we needed tons of pizza for our event! So grateful for the amazing staff pulling through! Amazing pizza!

This was great for take out after a long day at the beach. We did a pick up order. It was ready in a good amount of time. Tasted good. I was a bit surprised with the total cost for one large pizza and one side salad.

Good thin crust pizza dough …order was done in 30 minutes …

The cauliflower crust pizza was baked nice & crispy. The regular crust pizza tasted fantastic too!

Paid $70 for a medium and a large pie and ended up waiting almost an hour just for the two! I’ve eaten at other locations of this place but this one is by far the worst.

Here it goes boys & girls.
I've dropped off at least 50 people here to this pizza by the sea. I've finally tried it out.
Basics. Flavor of pizza mediocre at best. Staff in kitchen - no hair nets. In an unbearable humid, hot up stairs kitchen. I waited 30 min for a takeout, good with that.
Let's get down to the brass tax. This place charged me 32.98 for a 3 topping pizza. Made me wait in an unbearable sweaty upstairs. With fans that looked like they were dusted a decade ago. Someone please tell me what a to-go tax is?
Don't waste your time in this place. Obviously they are gauging people. You're better off ordering from a chain. Tastes the same. In my future. I'll recommend other places to my riders. And NO. I will not email pizza by the sea more information about my experience. Was disappointed enough, I shouldn't have to relive that memory.

The pizza is mediocre. Barely enough sauce to make the crust red. Overall flavor rather bland. They choose to be dishonest like all modern businesses and refuse to advertise in a realistic way the actual price that you'll pay. They add a 3% credit card fee and even worse they charge a 10% to-go fee. Just advertise the price that is actually paid. They force a to-go fee and ask for a tip when you pay. I'll never order from here again. It's sad when store bought pizza is better. At least that avoids the money gimmicks.

Hi Folks,
We just enjoyed 2 large pizzas that SURPRISINGLY did not look near what is posted on their website. About half the cheese and other ingredients based on the picture. We ordered the Bypass….aka…. meat lovers and it was a sparsely populated pie. The second pie was a straight cheese. About 12” of cheese on a 16 inch pizza.
Maybe we had a bad night at the pizzeria
