“My husband and I visited for the first time in October during our 3 week vacation. I cannot say good enough things about this place! The people there are so friendly and welcoming in true Irish spirit! The food was amazing and worth every penny spent! We even got to talk with the owner while we were there…both times. It was so good that we made sure to go back a second time before we came back home to Ohio. I’m so sorry we didn’t check the place out our first week there because that probably would have become our second home while we were there! Eileen is awesome!“

Shamrock Pub Bar • $
2257 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota

“Visited for St Patrick's Day. They handled the crowd very well and with good humor. It's a small pub and most people stayed outside in the parking lot or in back. Nobody got rowdy and the atmosphere was fun. They provided a limited menu of corned beef sandwiches and Reuben sandwiches plus a kid's menu. They had music, including an excellent piper. Shamrock is a soccer-focused pub and is probably Ground Zero for big tournaments. My only suggestion would be to have plastic bags on hand for those of us who did carryout (five sandwiches + chips). The sandwiches were very tasty!“

“This is my drunk honest opinion, there is no one here on Wednesday but they said it’s CRAZY busy on the weekends cause they have a Dj. Jersey is the best bartender ever I love her. They are part of evies so there is sports playing but this is more of the bar part. It was like $20 for two drinks with tip“

Paddy wagon irish pub Sports Bar • $

“I love The Paddywagon and usually have a blast there. The drinks are awesome, the vibe is great, and it's been our spot for a weekly chill-out with my partner. But this Christmas Eve was a bummer. Forgot my ID, got turned away - fair enough. Then I hustled back with a new Lyft ride but got stopped again. This time, the guard didn’t dig my U.S. issued Mexican ID card. Apparently, they wanted something else or a passport. But seriously, who carries a passport for a pub hangout? It sucked not being able to join the Christmas vibe, but hey, not letting it ruin my night. Still, it was a letdown from my usual good times there.Hope they rethink their ID rules 'cause it's a buzzkill for regulars like me. Hoping for better luck next time. Happy New Year to The Paddywagon crew - hoping for smoother hangs ahead!“
