Malmosto is a hidden gem in Sarasota with great wine selection and even better food. The wood-fired pizzas are outstanding, and the space feels warm and cozy, perfect for date nights or relaxed dinners. The restaurant serves amazing appetizers, such as calamari, and pizzas with authentic Italian flavor. However, the loud music can be obnoxious, making it difficult to enjoy the food and wine. Despite this, Malmosto is a great spot with excellent service, and the food is so good that it's worth ordering take out to avoid the noise. The restaurant is small, but it makes excellent use of its space, offering thoughtful dishes for single diners or groups.
