“Friday night was a spectacular evening at Block 15 Cork & Craft owners Tom & Melanie were great hosts. After a week of cleaning up from Hurricane Milton and losing their power, it was ready to open their doors. They offered delicious Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Charcuterie & Cheese Boards complementary to their guests as a good gesture for the loyalty of their patronage.

We ordered a bottle of their Portuguese Silk & Spice White Blend Wine that accompanied the snacks superbly and offered a nice selection of NA Beers to one of our guests. They offered a nice selection of Wines, Beers, and Ports with their State of the Art Cruvinet Wine System that supplies you with a Fresh and Crisp Glass of Wine each and every time.

This place has a Relaxing Atmosphere with a Long Spacious Bar and plenty of Hightop Seating throughout the Bar. We brought a group of people for an evening of entertainment with our good friends Tasa+Rob, a Dazzling Musical Husband & Wife Duo that transport you back in time with the Classic Songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's and too today's current hits.

“Another unique find!

Located in a strip center inside a liquor store (Dive wine & Spirits) this was easily the most unique location we’ve dined in over the last several months. We’re always looking for small owner operated restaurants and this one fit the bill with 5 tables seating 32 and a bar that seats 10. The menu varies day-to-day quite a bit and we came on wine & pasta night.

We arrived a little bit early and decided to have a pre-dinner cocktail in the Dive bar. The Dive bar is located in the back of the liquor store and accessed through a sliding freezer door. The bar seats about 10 and there is also a couch and some seating off to the side. It’s a bit dark in the bar, but the boxes stacked floor to ceiling give it a special ambiance and it almost feels like you’re sitting in a speakeasy room that’s a half bar - half storage. The bar menu had a good deal of craft cocktails - pretty unique stuff.

We eventually moved to the Hive which is the restaurant. It’s accessed through a different part of the liquor store and didn’t open till 6 PM. All five tables are high tops with chairs that had backs. Table spacing was good and the noise level was never loud due our meal. Because it was pasta night there were scenes of Italy scrolling on TV screens.

On arrival we were warmly greeted and seated by Michael who would be our waiter. We were never rushed throughout the meal and he would check back often to make sure we’re doing OK.

The menu was one page long and printed for the night. Between the four of us we ordered two appetizers and three different entrées.

The peaches & whipped ricotta was served with focaccia bread. The peaches gave the ricotta a nice flavor. Portion was shareable.

The burrata and prosciutto appetizer came out on a bed of arugula. Nice presentation, good portion and good flavor throughout. also shareable.

I find it hard to pass up a good Bolognese, and this one was unique in that it was cream-based with malfadine pasta. Portion was good and the flavor was outstanding. I finished the entire bowl. Should be noted they make all their own pastas.

Two others ordered the shrimp and scallop Florentine. The portion was nice with lots of shrimp and scallops. Great flavor that we accentuated with some red pepper seeds to give it a little kick.

The last entrée was chicken Milanese with shrimp substituted for the chicken. Great flavor and lots of shrimp.

We did not order dessert. Between the appetizers and the entrées, we were all full. In the future, we would split the appetizers.

Between the unique atmosphere, great service and excellent food we had an enjoyable and memorable evening here at the Hive. I feel like we were lucky to get a reservation. Although the restaurant was not crowded when we were there, I think in the future it will be based on our experience. We also like the fact that the menu varies.“

Andrei!!! the waitress was awesome, he knew the menu and was able to recommend different alternatives, food was delicious and service was great, definitely coming back. Our group of 7 was exceptionally pleased with our meals (we've never seen our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter eat so much!), the attentiveness and the ease of scheduling the reservation. “The food and service did not disappoint. My wife had the mahi tuna salad. It was excellent and crunchy as described on the menu I had scallops. They were perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

“My husband and I recently had the pleasure if dining at Sophie’s, in Saks Fifth Avenue in Sarasota. What an amazing experience. The decor both inside and outside so chic. We had Matty as our waitress. She was spot on with top notch service and a wonderful personality. We started with a bread basket of assorted toppings, delicious. He had the Tai chicken. Well prepared and perfect with seasoning. I had on of the best burger ever. Cooked and seasoned perfectly at medium rare with tasty fries. “Lived in Brasil for almost 10 years. Have 2 daughters born in Belem. We have eaten at many Brasilian restaurants in Brasil and the United States. Ate at Samba with my wife who was born & raised in Brasil. I had Stroganoff and she had Picahna. We also had a side of french fries and two Guarana soft drinks. We found the food traditional Brasilian and yes it was very good. I would consider the restaurant to be more casual Brasilian which we loved. The main concern I have is the price for what we had. It was over $100 plus tip for two people but in all fairness it has gotten very expensive to do something authentic and they are trying to keep things as authentic as possible and that is expensive. We loved having the young kids waiting on us which may have been the owners family. It made us feel like we were at home in Brasil. Highly Recommended 5 Stars ⭐️“
