“Finally! A Japanese place that serves Okonomiyaki. This is a popular dish in Japan that I grew up eating when I lived there. It provided me with a sense of nostalgia as I do not come across this as often as Takoyaki, which I also love. The interior matched the theme of the restaurant, an Izakaya. I will definitely be returning when I visit Sarasota again.“

The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great!I love their scallops, they are just perfect along with the risotto. On a more recent visit 3/24/24) they had asparagus with the Scallops instead of the broccoli.My parents love the Salmond salad, but my dad commented that on our most recent trip (3/24/24) that the salmon was a little dry.From 3/24/24, my husband said the lamb was good but a little chewy, he had to chew a lot.There is plenty of parking in the parking lot on either side of the mall.Parking: The Sarasota restaurant is located in a shopping mall, so there’s lots of free parking.“
“Tina and her family are the best hosts you could ask for. It feels like you’re in a small family owned restaurant in Europe the way they treat you. The scialatielli are amazing as well as the calamari saltati. I could order everything on the menu. Highly recommended hidden gem.“
“The food was very delicious except for the gnocchi didn't care for that much. I am in love with the little spread they bring with the bread, they bring 2 types of bread which both were great. So yummy. Thank you for the bit of heaven in my mouth. They seem to have a great relationship with their customers very personable and I love that. Definitely recommend this place. They gave us little pizza appetizer that was phenomenal complementary. very happy with this place.“
“Food was fantastic and our server Abbey was wonderful. Very attentive and gave us great suggestions. We had the lobster appetizer, followed by soup and salad. For entree my husband had the Steak Diane and I had the crispy duck. We finished with chocolate mousse for dessert. So decadent! We will definitely keep it on the list for special occasions. A little too pricey for every weekend option.“

“What a great experience! Wendy , Ivo and The man himself Pietro made our anniversary dinner amazing ! The Chicken Franchese was so tender and delicious. The veal chop with the Parmesan Risotto was even better. Highly recommend this place. What made the evening so great was the how well the staff worked together to make our visit perfect. “We have been to Fiorella's 4 times since the first of the year. I believe they opened in August of 2022. We chose to try it in the first place because it was open on Sundays and the menu looked very appealing. The chef and servers are great. The pasta (house made) dishes are especially good. There is typically a starter, pasta and entrée special each night. The bruschetta starter is unique, not your typical style, and awesome we get it every time we go. The chef is willing to accommodate a diners personal wants and needs. The portions are a perfect size, not too big and not too small. We haven't tried every dish on the menu yet but those that we've had were excellent. It's a small intimate type of restaurant. Make your reservations early for the weekends because they fill up fast. We took friends with us the last 3 times we went there and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. This is fast becoming our new favorite Italian restaurant!“
“We celebrated my wife's 70th last night. When we arrived the tablecloth was glowing with little bright multicolored stars and circles. Sean, our sever, was amazing, genuinely friendly, genuinely representing the best menu choices, just so tuned into what we might enjoy. The French onion soup was excellent and in some mystical way the bread has the occasional crunch even though it was submerged in the broth. The South African lobster tails were sweet and tender, and frankly better than the best possible New England lobster. The sliced filet with onion, mushrooms and "fig essence" was perfect. Dessert was on the house for the birthday girl and it too was excellent.“
