“C.1949 is a fantastic local establishment. The staff is friendly and helpful, makes everyone feel like they belong there. Everyone seems to pick up that neighborly vibe..and the options of beers on tap is great. Always some locals, some new and some unusual but always well brewed and poured up. They have fun events, karaoke and goat yoga are 2 that come to mind. I can’t say enough about how nice it is to have a local, fun, neighborhood watering hole to be able to walk or bike too.“

He suggested a non-alcoholic beer (not my thing), and then I mentioned ginger beer. His eyes lit up—he had one he hadn’t tried before: Bundaberg. What could’ve been an awkward wait turned into this fun, unexpected exchange as we both discovered the drink together. It came in a vintage-style bottle, and he treated it like it was the most interesting cocktail he’d ever poured. That kind of thoughtful hospitality changes everything. When my group arrived, the meal was incredible—rich flavors, creative pairings, and descriptions that made every dish sound like art. The food was phenomenal, but the way the evening felt was even better. “We had a lot of fun here. Very convenient to walk sparkman afterwards. But we did bowling, feather bowling, pool, ate dinner, etc. Can be pricy but they have free stuff as well. There was water leaking from the roof on the feather bowling side and it was dripping on us while we were playing. But it was raining that day so we were already soaked. Otherwise the food was great. Had a blast!“
