“Some of the best places in St. Pete are the ones you almost drive right past.

No giant sign. No tourist crowds. Just an old brick building that quietly says, “If you know, you know.”

I finally stopped into ‘Delicious: An Interactive Taste Experience’, tucked inside a beautifully restored historic railroad building at the Morean Center for Clay in the Warehouse Arts District. The building dates back to 1926, when it served as a Seaboard Coast Line railroad freight station, and it’s one of the city’s designated historic landmarks.

Walking in feels less like entering a bar and more like discovering someone’s living room… if that living room happened to have great wine, craft beer, local art, soaring ceilings, and over a century of history. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and refreshingly unpretentious.

My favorite part? It doesn’t try too hard.

No manufactured “Instagram aesthetic.” No loud gimmicks. Just a genuinely inviting space where conversations can actually happen.

If you’re the type of person who enjoys finding hidden gems before everyone else catches on, this belongs on your list.

St. Pete has plenty of places that shout for your attention.

This one simply opens the door and lets the building do the talking.

Our server, Leah, greeted us, and we ordered beverages and an appetizer. I knew what I wanted right away, while my daughter took a bit longer and chose the lasagna. When the food arrived, the generous portions impressed us. Both of our meals were delicious. I mentioned to the server that it was my daughter's birthday. The head chef also checked in to see if everything was good. Bruce, who was fantastic, surprised my daughter with a big slice of chocolate cake and sang Happy Birthday with the crew. Great job! “Tonight was my first visit to Allelo on Beach Drive in St. Pete. We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get seats at the bar around 7 p.m. They mentioned they were fully booked, though we did notice a few tables open both when we arrived and when we left. Still, we ended up having a great time at the bar! The female bartender was pretty friendly and attentive, and the bar back (a male) was busy helping with table and silverware setup ~ both were good. We ordered the Baby Gem Salad, Mussels in a delicious tomato sauce, and the Cocktail Shrimp, which were all fantastic. The cocktails were unique and interestingly crafted. The espresso martini had an interesting twist ~ a subtle touch of amaro that gave it depth. The lemon drop martini was made with their house lemonade, which gave it a refreshing and slightly unexpected flavor. My friend ordered the Aperol Spritz and really enjoyed it too. It was a bit loud inside, so next time I’ll definitely ask to sit outside, especially in this beautiful weather. The restaurant has a charming patio right on Beach Drive, a cozy bar area, and another smaller dining room to the right as you walk in. The space is beautifully decorated, with a hand-painted mural of birds by a local artist. They even provided a list so guests can learn about each bird featured on the wall ~ a thoughtful touch! I’m surprised it took me this long to visit, especially since I consider myself quite the foodie. Allelo has been open for 5 years, and after tonight, I can definitely say I’ll be back soon!“

Our Sommelier was phenomenal – a great personality, professional with extensive knowledge, and a fun attitude and personality. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept a great pace when giving us a tour of the winery. Both made the experience excellent. “Randomly stumbled upon Uncle Funz Provisions after a day at the beach and it was such a gem.

The ceviche was delicious and really fresh, and the hot sauce on the side was actually spicy and flavorful, which was a big, big plus for me lol I feel like a lot of places call something “spicy” and it really isn’t 😂

The vibe inside was also really nice. It’s casual but still has a cool wine bar feel, and the decor was really well done without feeling over the top.

“I absolutely loved my experience at Sip Shop Hooray. My friend, Adrienne Venable, posted about them so I had to go check it out. I found the hat of my dreammmssss that’s very witchy and trendy. Sip Shop Hooray feels like walking into a home with lots of cute clothes. It’s the perfect environment for shopping and hanging out. I had my 11month old with me and the woman working even offered to hold her while I tried stuff on. Amazing place! Great customer service. And the clothes are so cute! Can’t wait to go back“

The coconut shrimp was good and the coconut curry snapper was the best fish I have ever tasted and I grew up in Florida. “We dined at the Colony Grill last Sunday 1/4/26. We had ordered takeout and sat outside. I only went went in to use the restroom. After we left and went out to a couple of other places, I realized I did not have my purse. We backtracked to all the places we had been in Saint Pete that day, about five different places. But for some reason, we did not go back to the colony Grill. I never found my purse. I was devastated. I had a lot of valuable items in it and figured someone had decided it was too enticing and kept it. But Tuesday morning when I was at home, I received a box from FedEx addressed to my brother, whose ID I had in my purse. Someone had taken the time and money out of their own wallet to send my purse back to me fully intact down to the last penny! I am so very thankful I tried calling the restaurant to find out who had done the good deed, but was just met with an automated service.
