Server was great unfortunately the manager was a real jerk. We have been here a few times but will never be back. Has went downhill for sure, all of our food was subpar.

Loved the ambience. Perfect place for a quiet night out. They have a lovely outdoor space with an eclectic decor too. Ordered the shrimp Jambalaya, the fried seafood basket and the black cherry pie with Vanilla ice cream.Definitely recommend the jambalaya and the cherry pie. Not so much the seafood basket.

Called 3-4 hours prior to arrival to make a reservation. They don't accept reservations. I asked if we could be placed on a waiting list prior to arriving, and they don't allow that either. Got there, and they told us that there's at least a 2-3 hour wait before we can be seated . Very rude and unaccomodating policy.Parking: Very limited parking . All parking is for a fee in lots around this restaurant.

The BEST seafood in Sarasota with the BEST atmosphere. Dining in the restaurant is fun in itself, but the real magic is grabbing a drink and waiting to be seated in the backyard under the giant treetops. If you’re lucky, you might even catch some live music!Go early because the wait gets long! We arrived right when they opened and enjoyed the atmosphere before our table was ready.I recommend the blackened grouper and the grits! They’re the creamiest around! Top it off with some key lime pie to satisfy your sweet tooth ????

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We arrived at Owen’s Fish Camp a little after 4 pm, and we were told it’d be about 45 min until a table opened for us, which was absolutely fine! It was well worth the wait. We waited in the back patio where they were char grilling shrimp oysters lobster rolls and more appetizers! We tried the char grilled oysters which was AMAZING! Inside, we got the low country boil. Anyone that loves seafood I highly recommend! The food here was amazing! And the service was amazing as well! Gold Star for everyone working at Owen’s Fish Camp! We will be back hopefully next year!

Ordered the jambalaya it was just the right amount of spice and flavors. Those I was with ordered the fish specials, proper portions and exactly as described. The atmosphere is great, vintage feel with lots of character. Appropriate for family dinner, we shared mud pie for dessert it was delicious.

I don’t get the bad reviews for this place. The service from Morgan was great and the food was so good we want to come back to try other dishes! Fair pricing and a good atmosphere all around. Only downside was the parking but it’s worth hunting for parking 100%.

No parking here at all! Nasty all around. Save yourself the trouble of wasting time waiting and your money. The food is really not good, I’m from down south Florida close to the keys, and this place is nasty. Full of white trashy people at the mini bar with loose stools to sit on. People fighting for a nasty seat, and the drinks sucked. Even homeless looking people outside sitting. Not a good environment and hyped up to be something that’s not. Extremely dissatisfied.

The only restaurant where I look forward to the hour wait! Food is always exceptional and the waiting room is the backyard with grilled oysters and drinks w/ live music. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere… oh yeah, and don’t sleep on garlic snails appetizer!

My wife and I visit Owen’s at least once a year and have always had a great experience. Tonight we visited for my wife’s bday and our waitress was great. We always order the seafood boil with an extra cluster of crab and realized that there was no seasoning on any of the boil after a couple of minutes of tasting it and they had also forgot to add the potatoes to our boil. We notified the waitress and she said she would get the manager which also confirmed that our meal was not up to par but all he was willing to do was take our $7 drinks off of our bill. It just seemed unimportant to him that we enjoyed our meal. At the end of it all we didn’t get a new boil and our potatoes never came. Still ended up paying $110 for our meal.
