Tried out Owns today for the first time . Was Pleasantly Surprised!
Nice atmosphere with a good crowd, Really Enjoyed Ourselves. Morgan was Great with explaining the menu and describing the sides. Definitely Going Back.

I have dined here many times but tonight we all left after 1hr 40 mins - sadly we were told 45 mins .. so our expectations not well met
and left very frustrated at the lack of customer care, a classical example of being so popular and resting on it’s laurels. I won’t be back !

Owen's Fish Camp - Downtown SRQ is a charming and laid-back restaurant in Sarasota that offers a memorable seafood dining experience. The atmosphere is unique and relaxed, with a welcoming and friendly service team that makes guests feel at home. The restaurant is known for its fresh and delicious seafood, with standout dishes like the Red Snapper, fish tacos, and the best catfish some visitors have had in Florida. The smoked fish dip, oysters, and hot crab dip are also popular appetizers. Portions are generous, and the food is prepared perfectly, making it a great spot to enjoy a special meal or celebrate a birthday. The place is beautifully decorated and has a character-filled environment that feels far from the busy downtown area.
While most reviews highlight excellent service and tasty food, some guests mention that certain dishes like the chicken sandwich and cordon bluefish could be more flavorful. The music can be loud, which makes conversation a bit challenging at times. Parking may be an issue, as the restaurant is surrounded by private lots, and some visitors have experienced unexpected parking tickets. Despite this, Owen's Fish Camp is highly recommended for great seafood, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.
