About Owens Fish Camp

Owens Fish Camp is an absolutely amazing place a little off the beaten path in Sarasota. The vibes are amazing and exactly what you’d want out of a restaurant like this. The atmosphere is very homey and like an actual camp with wood walls and nice decor, including a large seating area out back with a small outdoor kitchen. Seafood was amazing, with the best shrimp and grits ever, exceptional seafood boil, and delicious catfish with grits. The naked grouper special and charbroiled oysters are also highlights. Drinks were cold, and the brown chicken brown cow brown ale beer is recommended. Service is attentive and friendly. However, the collards were too vinegary, and the cherry pie was not as expected. The music was incredibly loud in the restaurant. Desserts like pecan pie are excellent. A must try spot.

Tried out Owns today for the first time . Was Pleasantly Surprised!
Nice atmosphere with a good crowd, Really Enjoyed Ourselves. Morgan was Great with explaining the menu and describing the sides. Definitely Going Back.

Fresh fish prepared well awesome sides to choose from. Great small joint vibe with Live Music and an awesome back yard. Get there early the line gets deep fast. 10 out of 10!!

Hands down the best food and service we have had in our 10 years visiting Sarasota. Isabel was an incredible server and the same goes for all of the staff we encountered. I cannot wait to come back and try other items on their very creative menu.
