Let me tell y’all about this garbage experience at Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar in Sarasota, Florida. We ordered the so-called “Famous King Seafood Platter” for $120 — and babyyyy it was the NASTIEST seafood I have ever had in my life. The lobster? RUBBERY and overcooked like it was boiled last week. Horrible, bland, watery food and a garbage dump’s worth of flies. It was great the first time we were here. Not sure what happened.
Having loved this restaurant for years had to come back. Drove 35 mins off route to find a unflavored grouper. Horrible! zero taste. We had one blacked and one grilled both tasted the same- bland. Really not one ounce of flavor. All our gosh dishes including the third dish of a grouper sandwich was awful. I’m not sure how you can’t mail a grouper filet and charge 32 bucks.
