La Famiglia Reviews
As an Italian, I am incredibly particular about where I eat, and I can wholeheartedly vouch for La Famiglia. The food here is traditionally made, truly authentic, and crafted with outstanding ingredients. They don’t cut corners, and you can taste that it is cooked exactly the way we cook at home in Italy. The atmosphere immediately takes me back home, giving me a wonderful sense of nostalgia. I just wanted to say Cindy had outstanding service and made us laugh a lot. Might come back just to see her!
This restaurant is amazing. Made from scratch Italian food. Their bread is homemade and so delicious too! Everything was amazing from the friendly service to every bite of food. I love the manicotti but I substitute alla vodka sauce.

La Famiglia is an amazing Italian restaurant in Shalimar. The food is made from scratch, traditionally made, truly authentic, and crafted with outstanding ingredients. The bread is homemade and so delicious. The atmosphere is inviting, giving a wonderful sense of nostalgia, and the staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The service and food are absolutely perfect. The wine is poured in traditional Italian fashion. Live music, talented singers, excellent drinks, and live entertainment make every visit feel like a celebration. The mixed fried seafood (fritto misto) is absolute perfection—beautifully crispy, incredibly flavorful, and tastes just like home. The manicotti with alla vodka sauce, carbonara, and lasagna are loved. The tiramisu is light with a few little bits of coffee beans. It is aptly named—The Family—which is the heart of the Italian culture. It is perfect for dates and business handshakes, with quiet background music filled with crooners e.g. Frank Sinatra, and outdoor seating that looks great as the weather permits. It is the absolute best Italian restaurant in the panhandle.
